Travel, food and news are my specialties, particularly related to Latin America, where I have lived for the past five years. My travels in more than fifty countries enable me to bring a global perspective to my work, which has been published in outlets such as National Geographic Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Budget Travel, the Christian Science Monitor and Ms. Magazine. My writing is as diverse as my travels, from luxury touring to environmental news. I am diligent and resourceful, able to snag interviews with sources from renowned academics to high-ranking politicians, and track down the best bets in travel and food from budget to five-star. I currently live in Honduras, where I just updated the Moon Handbook for Honduras. In addition to extensive regional travel, I visit the US two or three times per year and Italy annually, staying current with trends and happenings from Seattle to Sicily, and establishing myself as a self-taught expert in family travel. |
