Andrea Strong has been a freelance writer for the past 15 years focused on food, restaurants, and trends in the industry from farmers to chefs and everyone in between. Her food writing has appeared in The New York Times, New York Magazine, Real Simple, The New York Post, Edible Brooklyn, Edible Manhattan, The Daily, Metropolitan Home, Real Simple, Condé Nast Traveler, and Travel & Leisure, among others. Recent projects include serving as editor for the FoodNetwork.com's Healthy Eats blog and writing and editing a bi-annual alumni magazine for Brooklyn Law School.She is probably best known as the author, founder, and creator of THE STRONG BUZZ—a daily blog (www.thestrongbuzz.com) and twice weekly newsletter devoted to New York City’s food scene—insider dish, news, reviews, chefs on the move, restaurants openings and closings, events, and the like. The Strong Buzz was named among the top food blogs in the city in 2013 by the Huffington Post.
Andrea is the co-author of the cookbook Sparks in The Kitchen with Katy Sparks, edited by Judith Jones, and published by Knopf in 2006.
Andrea has been a television guest on Top Chef (Bravo), Gourmet’s Diary of a Foodie (PBS), Heavyweights (Food Network), Fox News, and Eat This New York with Kelly Choi (WNBC), and a radio guest on Martha Stewart, Food Talk with Mike Colemeco, and The Restaurant Guys.
