If our children can't carry guns, then the criminals win! Deterrence! And the lib'ril teachers want to take his guns away!

Perfect Conservative logic.

"KEARNS, Utah – A 6th grade student brought an unloaded handgun to West Kearns Elementary School Monday.
The 11-year-old boy allegedly told other students his parents encouraged him to bring a gun to school for protection following the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut on Friday.
The boy reportedly pulled the gun, a .22-caliber pistol, out of his backpack during recess Monday morning.
“At recess, he pointed a gun to my head and said he was going to kill me,” said Isabel Rios, one of the boy’s fellow 6th grade students."

Nothing classier...

.... than a gun nut packing heat in a kids backpack, days after a school shooting . and the kid taking it out and point it at another student.

WOW!

Libirls are just so horrible for judging and thinking that is plain old wrong and stupid.

And, of course, cons defend this kind of irresponsibility .... real classy.

Absolutely insane...

The parents should be locked up until the kid's 18 if they actually gave him the gun.

Go ahead con

Instead of your usual snarky 'stay classy' crack, defende it.

y'know, it doesn't surprise me that it's in utah...

we always think of the south and the old west as the headquarters of the gun rights folks..

but utah once almost passed a law REQUIRING at least one gun in every home..and it's still something of an unofficial doctrine of the LDS church that heads of families (in utah, that means men) have a weapon available..

the gun culture is alive and well in the beehive state..a state that has sent at least two gun nut wackos to congress..jason chaffetz and mike lee..

And Another....

Apparently, the gun owner was "standing his ground." A late pizza is live or die!

Another NRA HERO!

(oh, i'm sorry .. its not guns. He was evil. Or mentally ill. Or, maybe, its just Florida.)

Via Gawker:

"When 49-year-old Randall White of St. Petersburg, Florida, walked in to a local Little Caesars and ordered a thin-crust vegetable pizza he didn't expect to end up getting shot in the stomach by another customer.

But that's precisely what police say happened this past Sunday.

According to police spokesman Mike Puetz, White and fellow pizza shop patron Michael Jock, 52, got into an argument after White began loudly complaining that his 10-minute pie was 10 minutes overdue.

Words turned to shoving and shoving turned to Jock's legally concealed .38 Taurus Ultralight Special Revolver getting pulled out.

Jock allegedly shot White in the lower torso, and then once more in the same area after he and White started wrestling for control of the weapon.

The gun fired another bullet which became lodged in the restaurant's wall. Two other customers were reportedly in the area at the time."

this woman shouldn't have a gun

"A Denver mother who believed her daughter was being bullied at school drove into the school's parking lot and threatened four girls with a gun, according to an arrest document.
Monica Avila, 34, was charged Tuesday with four counts of felony menacing and one count of possession of a weapon on school grounds, also a felony. According to the probable cause statement accompanying her arrest paperwork, Avila drove into the parking lot at Lake Middle School on Thursday afternoon and confronted four girls, ages 13 and 14.

A blatant case poor judgement if there ever was one, and that's being kind. Choosing this week to take a gun to a school to threaten children?

There needs to be mental health screenings before purchasing a gun and the screening requirement has to include ALL people who have access to that gun (guns). The screening has to catch loonies like that "mother". Her ability to raise her child in a safe environment is certainly in doubt.

Cases like this woman, the pizza guy in a previous post, some old white man with a gun murders a teenager because he thinks the music is too loud, the Oregon mall shooting, police officer shot in Birmingham ... highlight why we need to make sure ALL gun owners are rational, sane, responsible people.

The problem with the mental health argument...

is that none of these people mentioned here are technically mentally ill.

They're just a$$holes.

Maybe the DSM-VI should include that.

Another, just as Newtown was mourning 1 week.

Of course guns don't kill people.

Thats why there's a crisis over "drive-by knifings." And car-jacking "at fist point" is a worry.

"3 Fatally Shot By Gunman In Rural Area
By EMMA G. FITZSIMMONS
Published: December 21, 2012

A gunman fatally shot three people on Friday morning, including a woman who was hanging Christmas decorations inside a church, during a bloody rampage that spread terror along a stretch of two-lane country road in central Pennsylvania.

The gunman was shot and killed by state troopers after he opened fire at officers and rammed his pickup truck into a patrol car. He had multiple firearms, but the authorities have not yet disclosed what type.

What is believed to have been the first shooting took place about 9 a.m. at Juniata Valley Gospel Church on Juniata Valley Road near Route 22 when the gunman fatally shot a woman in the church’s fellowship hall.

The woman, who was in her 50s, had been decorating for a children’s Christmas party, said Philip McCaulley, the son of the church’s preacher.

The authorities said there were five crime scenes in the community, including the driveway of a house where the gunman shot a man, and a spot in the road in which the gunman apparently struck a driver with his truck before shooting him dead"

Viewers here in PA

were getting updates on this latest shhoting while LaPierre was on the air pleading for more guns. No irony there.

One of the many victims was shot while decorating a Church for a kids Christmas party. I'm waiting for Huckabee and Newt to say 'this is what happens when secular Libs take God out of---our churches??'
