Haha...they really cast a wide net...
And found someone at CNN! The best quote in the article was from the new producer for the morning show..."We aren't going to reinvent the wheel..." Well, duh...which means more typically formatted morning crap. The only question is which anchor gets the cooking segment? I give it six months...Hopefully CNN will see that the real problem is Zucker.

CNN Morning Show
The star of the new CNN morning show will be Michaela Pereira. She's just signed on as the "news person" on the new CNN show. I've watched Michaela for years as part of the incredibly dominant KTLA Morning News. By a year or two, Michaela will be the real star of the show. Mark my words. She's a terrific journalist and television personality. Anyone in L.a. knows of Michaela.

CNN Morning Show
I couldn't agree more re Michaela Periera. Worked with her years ago. I hope for her sake that the show doesn't tank. But can't stand Cuomo and am indifferent to Bolduan. Michaela may be the next Oprah.

Jim Murphy--a great choice
Obviously don't know how CNN's new morning show will do....
however they could have done a lot worse than picking Jim Murphy as producer.
Jim is one of the best in the business and just one of the real
"good people" in this industry.

don't know Murphy but I don't envy him.
what on earth could they do that the other 276 morning shows aren't doing?
I hope they're paying him well.

ed knows all about murphy...
he served jimmy lattes for years. ed's an awful pain in the ass--a total fuckup when he worked as a desk guy upstate--but starbucks did teach him to make java. since getting canned and moving to sandwich world, he's still in the learning curve.

Malgraham and others. Get over it. Your sophomoric vitriol is what drove this board into the ground once. I'm sick of every thread I read degenerating into your low grade cyber-bullying. Get over it.
