Nope, wrong again
Trying to bullsh*t your way out of it again. Retirees don't count in U6,

you are pulling a Constitution "reading comprehension" on BLS figures now!
The U6 unemployment rate and the workforce participation rate are two completely different things!
U6 Unemployment rate: total unemployed, plus all marginally attached workers, plus total employed part time for economic reasons, as a percent of the civilian labor force plus all marginally attached workers.
So yes, retirees are not counted in the U6.But the U6 is NOT the Labor Force Participation Rate. The U6 only measures unemployment IN the labor force -- not participation in the labor force.
The labor force participation rate: the ratio between the labor force and the overall size of their national POPULATION of the same age range.
Notice it says POPULATION, not people wanting to participate in the workforce, but the entire population -- including retirees.
Don't believe me? Don't want to read? Maybe pictures will help.
Here are two charts.
First, the U6: http://portalseven.com/employment/unemployment_rate_u6.jsp
Now, the Labor Force Participation Rate: http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS11300000
Maybe after looking at pictures, you'll get over your "reading comprehension" problems and actually read the Forbes article I linked to.
Or read this article that attributes a quarter of the decline to aging:
Or maybe this study from the Federal Reserve Bank of Phillidelphia that backs up the aging issue and workforce participation:
Or this analysis from the Washington Post (along with lots of pretty charts and graphs for people with "reading comprehension" problems) showing that while aging is the leading cause of the decline in workforce participation, people staying in school and a rise in people going on disability are also contributing to the decline.
Cruzo, after this and your "Appointments Clause reading comprehension" fiasco, maybe you should just give up when you get in over your head.

Don't try to explain something
you CLEARLY don't understand.

Thanks for the laugh, cruzo...
I buried you under a mountain of facts, backed up with links and you reply by projecting your ignorance onto me!
Cruzo, after your "Appointments Clause reading comprehension" fiasco, and your confusion of two very different -- and separate -- BLS standards into one -- you should just learn to shut up when you're in over your head.
