Because the state's immigration law is stripping licenses from even those people who were born and raised in Georgia.
The law requires every doctor and nurse to prove their place of birth or legal residency on a yearly basis to get their license renewed.
Problem is, there's not enough state workers to handle the paperwork.
--"Hughes estimates about 1,300 doctors and other medical practitioners have lost their legal ability to work. Some didn't submit the required paperwork. Others are stuck in the backlog of applications that haven't been processed yet."

now that we have obamacare shortages- we need all the docs we can get. even if they are illegal and give silicon injections that kill people.

These are LEGAL..
even native born citizens of the U.S.
It's just Georgia's silly immigration law causing problems for American-born doctors and nurses.
No wonder the GOP is running from bad ideas like Georgia and jumping on the immigration reform bandwagon.

It's like global cooling. No evidence, but very real.

right wing immigration laws have done more to drive American born doctors out of business than Obamacare has.

These slipshod state immigration laws...
are a mess. Alabama's has wrecked the state's farm economy and only succeeded in arresting German auto industry executives visiting a plant they have there (at least for now).
And now Georgia is forcing American born doctors and nurses out of jobs because the Republican government there also laid off the state workers who have to approve the license renewals.
It's kind of the "Heckuva job, Brownie" approach to government that Republicans seem to love.

the u.s.doctor shortage is happening because of obamacare- not because a state decides to a job obama and the dems won't do- enforce immigration laws.

It's about American born doctors and nurses having their licenses pulled because of Georgia's immigration law. Not enough people to approve their renewals.
Not a single one of those doctors or nurses were put out of work by Obamacare. Georgia Republicans took away their ability to practice in their hunt for possible illegal immigrants.

well, it had to happen..the composite i.q. in georgia..
finally dropped into single digits..
more idiotic crap comes out of that state than just about anywhere else i can think of..
i know some truly stupid people from georgia..
