Uh oh cruiser.

THE guy who gave rise to your global cooling obsession says you're wrong.

Egregiously and indubitably wrong.

"Nine paragraphs, written for Newsweek in 1975, continue to trump 40 years of climate science. Its a record that has its author amazed"

Well he is certainly not your pal anymore dearie.

Quinntessential Posted - 1/13/2014 11:02:26 PM | show profile | flag this post

A opinion piece written by a journo with a agenda?

It'll take more than that to delete decades of leftwing hysteria over global cooling.

You should stick with tired satire. Seems like all you know.

etaoin shrdlu Posted - 1/14/2014 9:58:41 AM | show profile | flag this post

Gee, cruzo...

even as "quinn" you're just as clueless!

Not a "journalist with an agenda," cruzo. He's the guy who actually wrote the original "global cooling" story that you continually quote!

Next time you cite it -- as either cruzo OR quinn -- we'll have to remind you that you are citing a "journalist with an agenda."

cruster Posted - 1/14/2014 11:53:58 AM | show profile | flag this post

Oh Cowboy Quinn

How you do go on pardner!

Yee haw cowboy

Quinntessential Posted - 1/14/2014 7:16:52 PM | show profile | flag this post

Etaoin, confused much? I've never cited Newsweek.

Let me know when someone on the left attempts to discredit the polar vortex/global cooling articles from the 1970's.

cruster Posted - 1/14/2014 8:14:11 PM | show profile | flag this post

The Polar Vortex was a Gift

A bright shiny ball to keep global warming deniers denying by playing on their lack of understanding.

I heard a knowledgeable climate and weather professor say the vortex wasn't an indication of global cooling OR global warming. It was a weather phenomenon.

The fact remains the 1975 article is continually cited by global warming deniers (read the article posted).

Now for cowboys, a bit of weather don't me nuthin' no siree bob!

Right Quinn?

con Posted - 1/14/2014 9:39:14 PM | show profile | flag this post

fact remains-until we on the left say they are no longer facts and we never claimed they were facts.

etaoin shrdlu Posted - 1/14/2014 10:04:21 PM | show profile | flag this post

Nope, cruzo....

that's all you (quinn) EVER cited. There was only ONE article about "global cooling."

You claimed it as the basis for your climate change arguments. Live with it.

Or cite the sources for scientific articles to back up your claims.

Can't, can you?

Quinntessential Posted - 1/15/2014 1:25:32 PM | show profile | flag this post

Oops!!! Make that two.

Climatologist now blame those recurring droughts and floods on a global cooling trend. it could bring massive tragedies for mankind.

Oops!!! Make that three.

New Ice Age Is Coming

Oops! Make that four.

The Ice Age Is Here,7703615&dq=allintitle:+ice+age&hl=en

Oops! Make that five.

Major cooling may be ahead.

Oops!!Make that six.

Scientists Ask Why World Climate Is Changing; Major Cooling May Be Ahead; Scientists Ask Why World's Climate Is Changing; a Major Cooling Widely Considered to Be Inevitable

CIA Report on global cooling.

Quinntessential Posted - 1/15/2014 1:28:25 PM | show profile | flag this post

'Scientists have found other indications of global cooling. For one thing there has been a noticeable expansion of the great belt of dry, high-altitude polar winds —the so-called circumpolar vortex—that sweep from west to east around the top and bottom of the world.'- Time Magazine 1974,9171,944914,00.html

I could give you books written about global cooling if you like.

nleer Posted - 1/15/2014 1:42:41 PM | show profile | flag this post

Wow conjohnquinn!!! You certainly provide the latest most up to date research. 40 years. That's a blindingly fast turnaround pace!

etaoin shrdlu Posted - 1/15/2014 3:45:01 PM | show profile | flag this post

And again, cruzo...

you are citing articles that stemmed from the Newsweek article.

Not a scientific paper in the bunch -- just rehashing of the article now denounced by the author of the original report.

As cruster posted:

"Nine paragraphs, written for Newsweek in 1975, continue to trump 40 years of climate science. Its a record that has its author amazed"

Amazing how easily you can be suckered, quinn/cruzo.

Quinntessential Posted - 1/15/2014 7:41:48 PM | show profile | flag this post

Etaoin, did you notice the dates of the articles i posted? They predated newsweek. I can go back even further if you like.

There were many articles and books written on global cooling.

The fear mongering goes back to the early 1900's.

Suckered? Is that pretending only one article was written on global cooling ?

Grateful Deadline Posted - 1/15/2014 7:58:14 PM | show profile | flag this post

Anytime someone convinced of "global cooling" has to shovel snow or fails to turn up the thermostat in winter, he uses it as proof.

I say: Let silly people be silly. They aren't involved in anything but talk anyway.

cruster Posted - 1/16/2014 2:07:30 PM | show profile | flag this post

Suckered would mean you were duped, lied to, taken in by a con artist (as opposed to con who is no artist).

No cowboy, you willingly buy into the global cooling BS because you're so desperate to counter anything a "liberal" says. So you nod your head as Rush fills it with crap.

It's desperate. Pitiful really. And terribly sad.

Egregious even.

Quinntessential Posted - 1/16/2014 5:13:46 PM | show profile | flag this post

Duped? Lied to? If you mean by the countless fraudsters and their more than willing accomplices in our profession? I agree.

etaoin shrdlu Posted - 1/16/2014 5:40:53 PM | show profile | flag this post

I'm sure there may be some...

But how many scientific papers on it? Care to pull those up?

Meanwhile, take a look at this pie chart showing all the peer-reviewed, scientific papers published last year saying there's a human influence behind global warming and the number of those saying there is none:

cruster Posted - 1/16/2014 7:20:52 PM | show profile | flag this post

Accusations Cowboy

With nothing to back it up but venom and spite from one rejected by the profession he so dearly wanted to pursue.

Oh, I know your next post; "Hey I AM a professional (I blog from home with my pretend lil' Drudge news aggregator!), I've been in the business for years (I was fired after an embarrassing and very public incident) I know this business inside and out and I know it's biased (I am out of this business and I am bitter).

So go ahead, post away. Global cooling is a myth, global warming is supported by overwhelming scientific evidence. If you deny it, you're just stupid.

Quinntessential Posted - 1/16/2014 8:13:48 PM | show profile | flag this post

Bless the little troll's heart. I told you if what i posted wasn't enough, I had plenty more articles about global cooling and the coming ice age.

Facts will beat down trolls and leftwing posters each and every time.

IT'S NOT FAIR!!!!! Embrace the suck...

cruster Posted - 1/16/2014 8:17:59 PM | show profile | flag this post

You got nuthin' cowboy. An old Time Magazine article that the author disavows and that nutty Englishman cruiser likes to quote.

Poor cowboy. It's ok. Look, if my career tanked because of my behavior and all my political beliefs were falsehoods based on my bitterness toward a sitting president I'd be... YOU!

Just egregiously blame Obama.

Quinntessential Posted - 1/16/2014 8:51:41 PM | show profile | flag this post

Part of being a troll is never backing up your claims with facts or acknowledge when you are wrong.

Crusty joe, if you want more articles on global cooling and the coming ice age, just ask.

Attacking me for my past behavior is low. Even for a troll.

con Posted - 1/17/2014 10:16:46 AM | show profile | flag this post

"An old Time Magazine article that the author disavows"

best keep with your shtick cruster.

leave facts based, intelligent debate to the grown ups. facts really isn't your thang.

etaoin shrdlu Posted - 1/17/2014 10:41:55 AM | show profile | flag this post

Poor cruzo/quinn...

so upset he's accusing himself of something (he is the "cowboy"/Mike May character he described, right?)

And as quinn, he promises to post to so many links of 1950s science fiction stories and non-scientific screeds to prove his point!

But notice how he can't point to a single, peer-reviewed article in any scientific journal that predicted "global cooling."

Cruzo doesn't even understand the misunderstanding that led to the story in the popular press -- one that was quickly shut down by scientists at the time when it gained national attention with the Newsweek article.

No wonder cruzo is so confused about the science of global climate change -- he doesn't even understand the lack of science he puts his faith in through the popular press of the 1970s!

con Posted - 1/17/2014 11:06:48 AM | show profile | flag this post

cruzo/quinn/cruster is the same poster?

etaoin shrdlu Posted - 1/17/2014 11:12:31 AM | show profile | flag this post

No, con...

cruster is a parody of cruzo/quinn.

You're a little late to the game on that one.
