Huckabee Sounds Frustrated

Mike Huckabee's speech on women controlling their libido, in addition to being a textbook example of a straw man argument, shows exactly what is wrong with the Republican Party and its "war on women."
Here's how he came across: Huck, a older, white man -- by virtue of being an older, white man -- explained things for women out there so they wouldn't have to worry their pretty little heads. All they need to do is get their libido under control and not worry about having to use any birth control.
And that is why the GOP keeps screwing up. Democratic policies on health care have sought to guarantee women EQUAL access to health care - that is, equal treatment for the medical needs of the individual, man or woman.

"Here's how he came across" To a moonbat? Yes. To the rest of the world? This is a non-story.
One interesting point is how quickly the media jumped on this-misquoted Huckabee-and quickly apologized.

"mis-quoted"??..how do you arrive at that conclusion?..
he said what he said..we all sat there and watched him say it..

No misquotes, cruzo...
The Huckster presented a false, straw man argument about the Democratic position on equal access to health care.
That was Huckabee MISQUOTING the Democratic position.
But the Huckster came across as condescending to women and blatantly ignorant of their health care needs.
He has cemented the GOP's image of conducting a "War on Women."

Even the RNC Chairman...
is critical of the Huckster's performance:
"A day after Mike Huckabee’s controversial comments about women’s libidos, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus implored Republicans to improve their'“tone.'

we have breaking newz in the war on womenses. a republican-who we on the left once hearted when we thoughterated he could hurt rush limbaugh-made a funnie and caused the left to get their knickers in a bunch.
back to our regular scheduled ooooo let's talk somemore about the war on womenses some more.
how many democrats have been forced to resign over sexual harassment this past year?
how many democrat party officials have been fired and arrested for slapping, punching or spiting on woman?
how many democrat party officials have been fired for knowing giving womenses std's?
why can't women working in the obama house get paid equally for doing the same work has men?
troo-beleevers don't wanna talk about that.
stooopid for the cause in the war on womenses!!

really been drinking today, haven't you?
The Huckster, in one speech, has set the GOP "outreach" to women back at least a year.
It's Todd Akin all over again -- only this time, coming from one of the leaders of the GOP, not a TEA Partier.

"All they need to do is get their libido under control"
Of course, that's not what Huckabee said...not even close. It's been taken entirely out of context.
He was taking Democrats to task for their ridiculous belief that THEY...DEMOCRATS...have to provide birth control to women who cannot control their own libidos. Women of ALL political leanings should be outraged and insulted by Democrats.
But distortion, exaggeration and outright dishonesty is the stock in trade of the left wing.

You know what makes it stupid? Women don't get pregnant without men whose libidos are out of control.

that sums up a huge part of what the Huckster left out of his speech.
And cruzo, I'm not taking him out of context.
Show his FULL quote to any woman -- and she'll be upset, NOT over the libido comment -- but over the fact that Huckabee was talking down to all women and telling them their health care concerns are not important.

He wasn't so much that as his overall quote was patronizing.
It's not smart to patronize 53 percent of the vote in the name of your political party.

what Huckabee said mansplaining.
Because that's exactly what it was. He was talking about how women feel and about what women need from a man's POV. You know, mansplaining.

You know what makes it stupid?
Sure. You and your fellow moonbats making a mountain over something that was meant to be joking and insulting towards Democrats and their extreme policies.
Know what else is stupid? When rabid moonbats (both here and in our profession) jump to action anytime a Republican speaks, without context or accuracy.

Keep digging that hole, cruzo...
but you can't erase what the Huckster said -- or change the way women heard it.
Look at the polling from the last few elections -- since the TEA Party cropped up. Women are refusing to vote Republican.
They're tipping the elections toward Democrats.
Because the GOP is treating them like children and third-class citizens.
And the Huckster wasn't joking. He was describing the true feelings of the GOP toward women.
Posted - 1/25/2014 7:05:10 PM | show profile | flag this post
He was smiling and laughing.
Funny, you don't get this outraged over Democrats sexually harassing or beating women.
Posted - 1/26/2014 10:36:31 AM | show profile | flag this post
I'd much rather hear what women need and how women feel from a woman's POV. And you don't generally hear female politicans yammering on about what men need.

So quinn is now comparing...
the Huckster's comments to "sexually harassing and abusing women."
Maybe we're making some progress with his understanding of the whole insulting nature of "mansplaining."

Oh, joke is what it was? A joke made at the expense of 53 percent of voters?

the war on womenses.continues!!!!
fret not brave liberal warriors. one day womenses in this country will have the right to vote. the right to have coin and property. the right to abortion until the 100th trimester. free conception.. one day womenses in america will rejoice and be free. like women in iran or north korea.
the conservative culture of defeat will lead to a egregious defeat!!!!!!!
victories for womenses!!! until this gorgeous victory, democrats will continurate supporting womenses by sexual harassing , beating and giving them std's.while showing no outrage.

Looks like con has been on an all-day bender of illiterate and unintelligible posts.
Is that the booze talking, con?

two posts maketh a all day bender?
accusing me of something you do won't give you the "win".

con demonstrates how the GOP outreach is failing. He's typical of the right's voice today. And his last post taunted and insulted women in general.
