Congresswoman Maxine Waters who represents south Los Angeles, appears to a have a bit of a conflict of interest, according to the New York Times.
Speaking of conflict - the story (as of this posting) is no where on the LA Times today. Lots of stuff about Joaquin Phoenix though.
