Prior to becoming a full-time freelancer, she was an editor at Redbook and Marie Claire. Julia has a masters in journalism from American University and spent two years as deputy managing editor of TheCrimeReport.org. She is currently a writer/producer at CBSNews.com's Crimesider website.
