Heard KFMB in San Diego is dramatically reducing it's operating staff, including directors. Does anyone have updated information as to whether or not that's true? |

I blame Comcast. And even if I don't, someone else will. |

More Info? Is this basically a switch to an Ignite-type system or is it something more? Is the station in trouble - or are they just getting rid of technical people, not unlike many other stations out there? |

Not sure if it's that system But from what little I've heard automation is involved. Again, I don't know if it's really happening. |

Maybe not.... KFMB has four openings listed at the Lost Remote jobs page. (And since MediaBistro is acquiring Lost Remote, I think it's OK for me to mention that here.) |

jayhawk The postings could be because the techs have to re-apply for their jobs. But yes, they have cut op positions. I am friends with one of the ones that lost their job. |
