To just be my self.

What's the hardest work project you've ever tackled?
Writing a safety manual for a client.

What's the best job you've ever had?
Selling shoes at JCPenney - it taught me to never judge a person by appearances and to treat everyone with respect and dignity - no matter their shoe size or style.

What's your idea of a perfect Saturday night?
Listening to new songwriters at a local club.

What's your idea of a perfect Monday morning?
Coffee on the veranda with my favorite copy of Hemingway.

In ten years, I want to be:
A published novelist with 10,000 copies sold.

To be the legal analyst for water conflicts for a news agency.


What is most exciting thing to happen in your career in the past year?
I have the honor of hosting two events at the 2012 Conference of the Society of Environmental Journalists. One is a day long tour and the other is a panel discussion on western water management.
