Is there a connection between the number of contacts a profile has and how often that profile will appear in search results? Does a greater number of contacts mean greater visibility in searches? |

I've heard that. My husband and I have more than 900 e contacts each, so we're right at the top when people do google searches. Still, you want as many contacts as possible so you can market yourself, get expert advice and look up people's backgrounds for research. |

Both matter. Keywords especially, but number of contacts matter too because it just ups the number of people who might be searching for someone with your background. If you are hoping to be found, it also helps to update your status regularly. If you are looking for a job for instance, put 'available for whatever kind of work you specialize in.' Also, make it easy for people to contact you. Include an email address and a cell phone number. |

It's just a seo question. It's important to have many connections, because this will give you many internal links It's important to have many keywords, because this will make your page look relevant to google Also it's important to have backlinks from your blog, your articles and so on to your page. these are external backlinks. |
