So Jillian takes a host gig at KTLA, which is known to be the LA station that pays on-air talent the least.
What kind of pay cut do you think Jillian took compared to the Fox O&O she was at? And what do you think her salary is now at KTLA?
Come on, let's have some guesses..

Don't worry about it Roger -- just stay in your lane and worry about yourself.

Oh shut up with those kind of idiotic responses you losers always give on here. So fucking sarcastic. You want to ask the question "who cares?".. Who cares about all those other dumb topics on this site.
The question of money and salaries in an ever-changing industry and changed-economy is a valid one.

I have no idea what she used to make or what she makes now.
and no interest in either.

Be an adult. Worry about yourself. And, learn the definition of "sarcastic".

I'll bite. What are the salaries now for reporters and anchors and hosts in LA?
One of my staffers just left the news dept for a marketing job at $102,000 plus full benefits at an S&P 500 company.
While I don't care about any individual person's salary, I certainly can appreciate some "ranges" so we can keep on track.

Justaskin' : Thanks for beginning to play, although I guess the game is already over.
To the rest of you, wake the fuck up: the other topics on here are pretty boring. You all just like to be dicks. And that's fine, but you come off as know-nothing losers. Congrats.

Here's the real question...
Why would anyone hire such a train wreck?

if we're all "know-nothing losers," why would you care what our opinion is on this or anything?
and why would YOU ask US what we thought Barberie was making or how much of a pay cut she took?
it appears you know even LESS than a bunch of "know-nothing losers."
so what's that make you?

Whatever they're paying, it'll be better than the $450/week maximum from unemployment!

Jillian salary from someone who knows how Tribune pays
It's a sure bet that Jillian won't ever be at the level salary-wise as she was with Fox when you consider that her KTTV deal was also a network deal. She had it great at Fox where for the morning hosting duties she was at a good 1.5 million. In addition, she did the weather for the NFL Fox Sunday pregame show -- a highly rated show -- so you can add another half million approximately for that. She also did national commercials as part of her deal (she's repped by Lindner -- or was). So when adding all of that up including the side deals and informercials --- she was making sweet money. She's already -- at least on paper -- a modest millionaire. I'd guess at Tribune -- where they pay on-air talent according to "WHO" you are( it's a caste system)--she's got to be in the near half million range -- with incentives if this new half hour show she's hosting, which is syndicated on one other Tribune station -- takes off.

Thanks for the link and I read the article. Yes, reporter jobs listed as endangered. But they specified newspaper reporter jobs and made no mention of broadcast reporter jobs. Ours may be in trouble too but the author didn't mention our industry at all.
