CQ's Eric Pfeiffer is joining Politicker.com as an Deputy Managing Editor. Pfeiffer will be taking over some of the day-to-day editorial management duties from Michael Grass, who is taking on expanded duties within the company, including managing all of Politicker's editorial communications, public relations and outreach.

The Express newspaper's attempt to be like DCist city blog -- FreeRide -- has been suffering a slow demise following head blogger Michael Grass' departure to Politicker.
So it is, then, that they've canned the site for a new one: ExpressNightOut, a far less bloggy guide to the city.

Free Ride/Express' Michael Grass is leaving the city whose streets and buildings he's virtually memorized. He's heading to NYC where he'll become Politicker.com's deputy managing editor. Grass' previous jobs have included Roll Call and DCist.
The move is a big loss for the Express' blog, which will sorely miss Grass' tireless work... [FishBowlDC]
