What do you wish you'd learned sooner?
I wish I'd learned html back in 1997...instead of 2005. I'm still not fluent, but I do enjoy practicing!
Describe your dream assignment
I love modern art, and I love food, so photo editing a book/website/magazine about food in modern art would be mind-blowingly fun.
What book is on your nightstand right now?
The Best American Nonrequiredl Reading of 2009, The Partly Cloudy Patriot, and back issues of Food and Wine
What's the hardest work project you've ever tackled?
Definitely clearing rights for photos and text from 100 articles to be used in a tablet app... in six weeks. Second runner up? Stuffing 30,000 tea bags into die-cut sleeves for a marketing blast for a friend's real estate agency.
What's the best job you've ever had?
Photo editing for the Animals geocore on nationalgeographic.comlearning about animals and looking at photos! I think that was one of the most fun I've ever had while working like mad.
What's your idea of a perfect Saturday night?
Good friends + good food + good music = good times
What's your idea of a perfect Monday morning?
Weather: sunny with big, fluffy clouds and 65 degrees. Fully caffeinated, breakfast of fruit and yogurt. I'm wearing new, colorful shoes, and riding my bike (while singing out loud) to my photo editing job.
In ten years, I want to be:
Running an experimental art gallery and picking out the best imagery to tell the best stories.
