News you won't hear or read in the US

Don't you just love it?
All the sites he references do nothing but regurgitate far left talking points.
Oh of course he'll try to deny it but they're all in the IPCC camp...where all the disinformation originates.

as opposed to the PPP-generated far rightwing drivel..
you seem permanently attached to?
i think i'll stick with the REAL science here..
as shouds we all..

*** but the FACT is warming stopped in 1998. ***
Yes! And the oceans are just now catching up with that previous warming. That's why recent studies show ocean levels rising; it is a result of warming that stopped in the '90s.

Also, all of the disease vectors that have been tracked outside their normal ranges in the past five years -- the ones sensitive to 1-to-2-degree changes in temperature? They are just now settling into 1998.

Again all this crap comes from
IPCC-connected sources. Nuff said.
Posted - 4/1/2013 10:32:48 PM | show profile | flag this post
Yes, that's it: It's all a vast worldwide conspiracy. What for? Who knows? A good worldwide conspiracy needs no reason.
Posted - 4/2/2013 9:46:33 AM | show profile | flag this post
Yeah, "IPCC-connected sources"...
Like the Department of Defense, NASA, NOAA, USGS and other legitimate climate researchers.
Whereas, the outfits cruzo cites are headed by politicians, former tobacco industry PR hacks and coal industry executives and spokesmen.
I'll stick with the scientists for information on science.
"Left wing talking points." Again, cruzo thinks facts and science have a liberal bias.

"What for? Who knows?"
I told you "what for." The UN is setting itself up as a weallth redistributor for nations. The IPCC is supporting that policy by blaming weallthy nations for so-called "global warming" while giving some of the worst polluters (e.g., China, India, Brazil, etc.) passes. And the carbon offset scheme is intended to redistribute wealth to third world nations.
Lest you do your typical hean-in-the-sand act and refuse to acknowledge this, it's been documented by the UN.
Posted - 4/2/2013 1:25:15 PM | show profile | flag this post
cruzo has a conspiracy theory behind his science denial thinking.
"The UN is going to take over the world."
I'll believe real scientists before I believe a conspiracy theorist like cruzo.
Posted - 4/2/2013 2:01:05 PM | show profile | flag this post
When you align yourself
with REAL scientists let me know. The ones to which you cleave are all IPCC-connected...and the IPCC is the source of the misinformation about so-called "global warming."
Posted - 4/2/2013 2:19:26 PM | show profile | flag this post
Hahahahahahahaha! Laugh of the day so far!
Posted - 4/2/2013 3:15:09 PM | show profile | flag this post
It sure is!
The Global Warming Policy Foundation -- which cruzo cites -- is headed by a "social anthropologist" -- not a climate scientist.
And he's admitted his science denial is based not on science -- but on a conspiracy theory involving the UN redistributing wealth.
There is absolutely NO science in cruzo's world view.

well, now we know where cruiztwit gets his info..
straight outa the john birch society playbook..
thought it was beginning to sound familiar..

My world view
is adequate to accommodate both science AND politics. Yours is not. Yours is strictly limited to far left wing politics.
And the UN's politics is far left just like yours. The UN's IPCC makes the purely political claim that the globe is warming by some act of man. Its purpose is to effect the redistribution of wealth from developed nations to third world nations. And the IPCC's purely political "scientists" have constructed a "consensus" of agreement with this ridiculous "global warming" assertion.
The science...as articulated by those who have broken away from the IPCC or never signed on to its crap (and include some of the most renowned atmospheric and climate scientists on the globe)...says that's bunk.

Good Call cruiser Old Pal!
This is all based politics, nothing more!
Like many "theories" backed up by "mountains of evidence", man made global warming can quickly be dismissed.
As the brave cruiser points out, scientists once believed in Global Roundification, dismissing the obvious fact that the Earth is flat. All to please a Spanish king and queen.
Even the Law of Gravity is suspect, when planes obviously fly along with birds, both defying gravity. But libs dismiss this Gravitational Defecation because they like things to fall down.
Global cooling was proven with a Time magazine article in 1976. Global warming is nothing more than political garbage created by Al Gore so he can convince women to wear skimpy clothes and bathing suits because he's single now.
Hero cruiser has pointed all this out many times.

*** My world view

"Yours" meaning "everybody who is not me."
He hasn't taken the time to know you or anything about you on the forum, but he sees you when you're sleeping and knows when you're awake -- he knows when you've been bad or good, so be good, for ********'s sake!
Posted - 4/2/2013 9:28:41 PM | show profile | flag this post
And just so we're clear on this, buddy junior pals: He's very, very old -- the warming of concern to him for the future is not the global type.

Cruzo, you're a riot...
You jump right back in saying you're rejecting science because of your politics and some John Birch Society conspiracy theory about the UN trying to take over the world!
You've just shown you know as little about science as you do about "military wounding bullets" (as Cruster calls 'em).
But you're becoming better and better at providing comic relief on this board!

It obviously strokes your ego
to think you've trivialized or denigrated me. But in reality you've only shown how narrow-minded and partisan you are.
You...who knows NOTHING about science...rely on those connected with the IPCC because your politics tells you to do so.
On the other hand, I...who DOES know science...have the ability to evaluate the IPCC's crap and reject it on its lack of merit. I can compare and contrast the research and findings of those who have broken off their ties with the IPCC or who never aligned themselves with the organization.
Science is a discipline of broad-minded consideration of ALL possibilities, rational testing of theories and hypotheses and impartial analysis of the results. It is NOT joining a politically-motivated "consensus." But I realize that's all you've got.
Further, you...who sits on this forum 24/7...can always have the last word. It seems to be vitally important to you. It's not important to me because this forum is not that important.
So do whatever it takes to help you sleep at night...none of it will change the facts.

Discussing climate change without discussing geoengineering, which has been ongoing for decades, is meaningless.
And, yes, there are a ton of gov't documents that demonstrate that geoengineering is real. You can also look up at the sky for yourself (I know, you'd have to put the iPhone down).
But I digress, sorry for the distraction.
Continue your bickering.

cruiser, you really shouldn't start the day so angrily. It's bad for your heart.
FWIW, "you" takes a second-person verb, not a third-person verb, and "I" takes a first-person verb -- "you who know," not "you who knows;" "you who sit," not "you who sits;" and "I who do know science," not "I who does know science." Perhaps the incorrect usage of ellipses got in the way, eh?
Now down to brass tacks: It's not partisan, it's personal. You as a person, not as an over-the-edge right-wingnut, fail miserably at journalistic research because, as you've stated many times, you believe all facts come from your own mind and you do not look up anything. That's a big problem for an alleged professional writer, whether he works in fact or fiction.
In addition, you as a person -- not as a right-wingnut -- are responsible for your own despicable conduct in this forum. Nobody in right-wing politics slipped you a potion or planted a chip in your brain to turn you into a ranting, intolerant, cursing, myth-based boor.
We all know plenty of conservatives who, unlike you, don't dish out labels, baloney and abuse yet manage to make their point. They're the ones to whom we pay attention because they aren't trying to bludgeon us as if politics were a zero-sum game.
Then again, they are not narcissists.

Here goes the wannabe English teacher again
using that as a ruse to change the subject to obscure and bury REAL science that is exposing the science fiction of "global warming."
Posted - 4/3/2013 1:49:13 PM | show profile | flag this post
"they aren't trying to bludgeon us"
If you...especially...and your radical left wing brethren would stopy trying to bludgeon me we could have rational discussions. But as long as you think it's proper for you and your buds to hurl insults and ad hominem at me I will throw it back in kind. Ball's in your court, dearie.
But, just like etwinkie, you're the type who needs to have the last word...the final insult...that closing zinger. But you will never acknowledge that...and you'll never stop the vitriol that you profess to abhor.

the science fiction of "global warming."
From someone who knows both intimately.
This august hero, scientist/journalist/cowboy/artist/CEO/author/astronaut/surgeon ( can I fit all his claimed abilities here?) knows mush MUCH more than scientists who have studied so called "Globaaaal Warrrrrmiiiiing" for years.
Brave cruiser studied a Time magazine article from 1976.

after admitting he bases his statements on global warming not on science -- but on a John Birch Society conspiracy theory -- claims I know nothing about science.
Even though I've spent a total of 5 years specifically on a science and technology beat -- including two years covering energy and climate change issues.
That's two years of solid, daily writing and research into the science behind climate change, cruzo.
I'm sorry I don't delve into the extreme right wing conspiracies you follow for your information. But 97% of the world's climate scientists will tell you that you're wrong.
And the remaining 3% would tell you you're basing your beliefs on politics -- not science.
