No JD investigation of IRS -- why?

It's been over 6 months since Obama said he'd make sure he'd get to the bottom of the IRS 'harassment' of tea party members leading up to the 2012 election. But his Justice Department has not interviewed a single tea party complainant since...not one of the 41. Why? My opinion: they're prolonging the process to ensure it doesn't hit the headlines until after next years elections. So another election corrupted, to some degree, by the ruling party.
Those 41 complainants have now had to sue the Justice Department to get them to get off their arses and investigate the crimes...yes crimes...of the IRS as related to the effort to silence political opposition during an election cycle. Of course that suit will be delayed for the same reason no initial investigation has been made.
Please don't tell me any of you supposedly intelligent 'journalists' believe it's okay for the kind of corruption we are seeing in this administration.

It's NEVER going to hit the headlines
Eric Holder is a VERY close buddy of Obama and the president will NEVER permit any sort of investigation of Holder or his fiefdom, i.e., the DOJ. That's why Obama wrongly asserted executive privilege over the Fast and Furious scandal. You may recall that Issa's Oversight and Government Reform committee was holding Holder in contempt for his refusal to turn over documents pertaining to F&F.

Should have added
While the IRS is not under Holder, the investigation would have to be conducted by DOJ and the GOP-controlled house would be all over that to make sure it was conducted thoroughly and honestly. That would expose Holder to scrutiny and Obama won't permit that.
Besides which it would expose several high-level IRS figures to criticism or worse...and they have all carried Obama's water, i.e., perticipated in the wrongful delay of tax exempt determinations and the illegal sharing of personal tax information with left wing advocacy groups.

Are you serious?
This was debunked months ago. The IRS looked at organizations with liberal and conservative ties to see if they were using a non-profit status to avoid paying taxes or be regulated. It was perfectly legit and it turns out the groups that signed on to the status didn't even have to report it in the first place. This is a non-story for the idiots who just can't wait to try to fry Obama on some sort of scandal that just isn't there. Why don't you spend some time explaining to us all why we went into Iraq and spent a trillion dollars and killed thousands of our troops and possibly a million Iraqis for NOTHING. That sure didn't seem to bother any of you. Shows what kind of people you really are.

How gullible are you anyhow?
Those liberal organizations didn't exist to the IRS until after the scandal broke...they were backfilled to try to mitigate and disguise the obvious fraud.
You people would be MUCH better off doing your own research rather than relying on Center for American Progress talking points and stories developed by others...even if you can "verify" them.

It's All a Conspiracy
Face it newscred and cruiser, the leftists have completely taken over.
They're watching you right now, so is the MSM.
What's that noise? Jack booted government thugs about to burst through the door.
"Drink this fluoridated water or we'll shoot!"
I'd run for the hills. Go, hurry, run.

Get serious, Cruiserloser...
Goebbels said, "If you tell a lie big enough and repeat it often enough it becomes true." Like "we're going into Iraq because they were responsible for 9/11 and have nuclear weapons."? If you have specifics from your "own research" let's see it. If the IRS is such a big deal, why haven't the ace reporters at Fox News, or those credible journalists Hannity, O'Reilly and Limbaugh found the smoking gun? This is all wide open and available for anyone to look into and it has turned into a big zero. Keep looking super snoops! There must be some huge scandal just lurking out there ready to be exposed. I just know it!

"doing your own research"
cruiser, closing your eyes and wishing is not doing research.
You learned that when you were noozevet.
Come on now. That's egregious.

best indication that this is a non-story..in fact..
a never-was story, is that Darrell issa has shut the hell up about it..
he milked it for everything he thought he could get..and has now dropped it like a hot rock..

In fact, the investigation continues
despite foot-dragging by the IRS and others in the administration. So far, in response to a subpoena, the IRS has provided only about ten percent of the responsive material it...itself...identified to Issa's Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
One imagines the Obama administration is trying to drag this out until congress tires of it and ceases to pursue it.
The fact that no new information has been made public recently is probably because of the following:
1) The administration's non-response obviates any news releases, and
2) The administration-friendly media is downplaying the story even more dilligently than it tried to do when it first broke.

on the orher hand, maybe the "investigators" are finding..

of course libs dropped that like it was hot.

Keep trolling for the cause. Jezzzzz.

The only trolling going on here
Was newscred desperately trying to start a new here on a dead story. There was no 'there there'.
The IRS was doing its job. Investigating OBVIOUS political groups for their non-profit non political status. Maintaining that any group headed by Karl Rove that it is non-political is about as absurd as realizing the NFL is still classified as non-profit. (Holy crap). Issa and others still wasting taxpayers money on this is akin to investigating the Agriculture Dept because they still have the nerve to harass food producers and importers with those pesky food inspections.
"'harassment' of tea party members" Please. One more time: "Only one-third of the groups checked were conservative groups." Rep. Peter Roskam, R-IL: "How come only conservative groups got snagged?"
Outgoing acting IRS commissioner Steve Miller: "They didn't sir. Organizations of all walks and all persuasions were pulled in. That's shown by the fact that only 70 of the 300 organizations were tea party organizations, of the ones that were looked at by TIGTA [Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration]."
Facts are so troublesome.

Cruzo said: "Those liberal organizations didn't exist to the IRS until after the scandal broke...they were backfilled to try to mitigate and disguise the obvious fraud."
Wrong -- as usual.
Also, in the initial investigation, requested by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), he specifically instructed the Treasury IG to ignore scrutiny of liberal groups. He wanted ONLY specific instances of conservative groups being scrutinized.
--“We did not review the use, disposition, purpose or content of the other BOLOs. That was outside the scope of our audit,” the Treasury inspector general spokesman told The Hill.

Very intelligent response dearie.

You should be laughing, cruzo...
You got hammered badly on this one the last time you claimed the liberal groups were grilled only after the investigation began.
You even claimed Congress couldn't demand an IG investigation. We had to correct you, that yes, not only CAN Congress request it, but the TIG report to Issa's committee specifically mentions in it's second paragraph that "TIGTA initiated this audit based on concerns expressed by members of Congress."
And the links above confirm you are STILL wrong.

"You even claimed Congress couldn't demand
an IG investigation."
Wrong. I made no such claim. Haven't you finished that reading comprehension course I recommended for you months ago?

Cruzo the clueless...

"Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) directed the Inspector General..."
"etwinkie is certifiably nuts if he thinks a congressional committee can direct an agency's inspector general to do anything. The IGs don't work for Issa or the committee...they have their own chains of command."
Yep, you claimed it.
