Obama was warned about embassy security for three years.
Obama was warned 48 hours before the attack.
Obama did nothing. He was to busy fundraising and and hanging out with the Kardashians.
The US administration is now facing a crisis in Libya. Sensitive documents have gone missing from the consulate in Benghazi and the supposedly secret location of the "safe house" in the city, where the staff had retreated, came under sustained mortar attack. Other such refuges across the country are no longer deemed "safe".
Some of the missing papers from the consulate are said to list names of Libyans who are working with Americans, putting them potentially at risk from extremist groups, while some of the other documents are said to relate to oil contracts.
According to senior diplomatic sources, the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and "lockdown", under which movement is severely restricted.

The media turned Obama's deadly blunder into a all about Romney bash fest. Which fits into the liberal media narrative.
Also, the media has done more research into the fake film maker (Nakoula Bassely Nakoula) then they did Obama in 2008.

That's not what the article said
It says that there were credible warnings and ONLY that there was no order for a "lockdown."
Later on there's this line in the article:
"According to security sources the consulate had been given a "health check" in preparation for any violence connected to the 9/11 anniversary."
That means the Obama administration and the appropriate security forces had prepared the consulate for what was expected -- BASED ON THE CREDIBLE THREAT.
The Independent overplays the threat. Here's more on the story form Reuters:
"One official, who like the others spoke on condition of anonymity, said there was at least one specific warning about possible unrest in the region that was circulated within the government, but was not so alarming as to lead to a major upgrade in security for a possible emergency."

But We Want to Blame Obama
See, Bush had a CLEAR warning about the probability of the attack that ended up taking place on 9/11, and Romney keeps sticking his foot into his mouth.
So let us point a finger at Obama, please?

That was CLEARLY what the article said. And while the article did not report that a lockdown was ordered, it would have been up to an intelligent State Department staffer to order it, given the information that was available. It was a clear failure on the part of the embassy senior staff.
It boggles the mind how far these left wing radicals will go to alibi Democrats...just to keep Obama from having egg on his face in advance of the upcoming...and VERY uncertain...election.

the article (or have someone read it for you).
It clearly states the embassy had a "health check"for 9/11 anniversary security based on the known threats at the time.

Wait a minute...

Oh. Obama is now part of the "embassy senior staff"??? Who knew? And since 9/11, is there any embassy anywhere NOT told be careful??
The entire story is tragedy from start to finish.. The only thing more tragic would be to try and play political football with it. Romney shot his mouth off without knowing the facts.and for others ('th independent.co.uk???" Seriously???) The way the president and Clinton have handled the whole affair shows true class and leadership.

If you want to castigate
the one who allegedly said it was a personal screwup by Obama, TALK TO THE ONE WHO SAID IT WAS A PERSONAL SCREWUP BY OBAMA...IF that individual exists.
My sense is that he/she does not. I suspect you are mixing and matching again to tar all conservatives with the same brush...as is your wont.
