He was the first human to walk on the moon. He was part of the space program that sparked the imagination of a generation. He left his imprint on the earth. He left his footprints on the moon.

Neil Armstrong RIP

Of course FOX, class act it is...

Turns a hero's death into an attack on NASA and Obama and something about Islam that was totally and completely false.

classy, cons.

No, it's completely TRUE

and has been well documented for more than two years. Google it...you'll find dozens of references. Of course, there also will be the obligatory...but dishonest...Democrat denials.

This is just more desperation from the Democrat party that sees its fortunes sinking inexorably beneath the crashing waves of history.

Grateful Deadline Posted - 8/26/2012 10:55:22 PM | show profile | flag this post

It's hard to believe anyone would be base enough to abuse the news of a man's death in this way.

cruiser Posted - 8/26/2012 11:11:23 PM | show profile | flag this post

The faux self-righteousness

expressed by left wingers is always palpable. But exaggeration and hyperbole is what they do...to a fault.

it's just tv folks Posted - 8/26/2012 11:51:30 PM | show profile | flag this post

We should be honoring a hero

not acknowledging a worthless troll. Instead of giving the old fart the attention he craves, let all sane people ignore him. Let's honor a real hero by never responding to the twit.

God bless a real American hero, Neil Armstrong.

typical cons ...

... one of their own throws political insults just hours after armstrong's death and what do hey do?

Do they say the Fox analyst was wrong? do they say, not now too soon? Do they repudiate the proven lies?

No: they attack the "liberals" for pointing it out the stupidity and insensitivity.

Always attack. Never apologize

Well let point out some other facts.

Democratic administrations put Armstrong on the Moon. No GOP.

It was Big government waste through and through, taxpayer dollars spent on pure science long before anyone considered he commercial spinoffs, with only the slightest defence or security benefits.

It was a huge stimulus to the texas and florida economies, whole town built and thrive, not to mention research laps at JPL etc .. that spawned a private sector industry that continues to benefit the america exponentially.

guess what?

We built that.

Every loon lib socialist economic, scientific, and political policy that the GOP hates, mocks, attacks .. and cuts.

the fact is as soon as Nixon was elected, the GOP killed Apollo ... even through three more missions were ready, rockets built, money spent, heros waiting.

Kennedy had a dream. He issued the challenge, accomplished.

Nixon killed it.

Republican politicians can take as much credit for putting a man on the moon, as they can for civil rights.

Now the GOP convention will wrap their flag around Neil Armstrong and claim him as their own .. hypocrtites since armstrong preferred to keep out of politics ..and his family requested the opposite attention.

Maybe some of your truther/birther/denier fellow-travellers can honour him with their "fake moon landing" conspiracy theories as well.

blackedtaped Posted - 8/27/2012 9:02:27 AM | show profile | flag this post

Armstrong was an American hero

In every sense of the word. When he found out people were selling his autograph he stopped giving them. God rest his soul, job well done.

On a side note, well said it's tv. I hope everyone took notice it was the fake foreigner who felt the need to divert the conversation away. Enjoy the forum you helped create.

cdnreprtr Posted - 8/27/2012 9:31:32 AM | show profile | flag this post

Yup. Fox analyst politicized it.

What happens? No outrage. No condemnation from the right.

When a lib points it out .. The attacks begin.

If you had any guts you'd step up, and say to fox ... that's wrong. But, once again, poltics ahead of principle.

Always attack. Never apologize.

cruiser Posted - 8/27/2012 12:34:30 PM | show profile | flag this post

In fact, it was radical left wingers

who politicized this issue with phony moral outrage and disingenuous linkage. I made an objective statement of fact...well documented...that President Obama instructed the head of NASA to reach out to Muslims to make them feel better about their historic contributions to science, etc.

I made NO attack on Neil Armstrong or his memory. It was left wing radicals who invoked his name and his passing in their egregiously dishonest charge.

But this is what left wing radicals do...dishonestly politicize everything and then try to blame conservatives. And those who did so are among the most inveterate of phony self-righteous exaggerators on here.

Go back and re-read every post in this thread. You will quickly discover who it was that initially brought up Armstrong's name.

orthicon Posted - 8/27/2012 1:14:32 PM | show profile | flag this post

blacked.. it was in fact the faux snooz airhead who..

linked the name of neil armstrong to an attack on obama..

that was lower than low, and you know it..

i know you do..there's no doubting she said it..

blackedtaped Posted - 8/27/2012 3:12:00 PM | show profile | flag this post

orticon...

That may be, I don't know or really care what Fox news does. But it was the fake foreigner that felt it necessary to inject that into a thread that started out as a tribute to Armstrong. Why do that unless of course the goal is to keep sh*t stirred up? That is what the fake foreigner is all about.

cdnreprtr Posted - 8/27/2012 3:32:40 PM | show profile | flag this post

Sorry to break your bubble,blacked

Im not American.

And that's your problem

You view everything front the limited, and bs, bias of American exceptionalism.

Wake up. It's a globalized economy and interdependent work.

You think china and Russia (nevermind Canada) give a f*ck about the bs ideological dem/rep battles?

Once upon a time America could send a man to the moon.

Now, well.... It takes longer to balance your budget.

blackedtaped Posted - 8/27/2012 3:59:26 PM | show profile | flag this post

Faker, er cdn

You keep forgetting I knew you from the old forum where you exposed as a fake before you went away. I do think it shows what you are truly all about that you chose to post what Fox news did as opposed to saying something remotely positive about an American hero. As I say, all you want to do is stir up sh*t.
This is not my forum. I just noticed the thread about Armstrong and thought that for once the people here could just honor a hero and not bring up partisan hatred and bickering. I was wrong. It is not possibile.

cdnreprtr Posted - 8/27/2012 5:35:57 PM | show profile | flag this post

Blacked, you proved nothing.

Unlike Ron and sanfran and the rest of the old board, ya got nothing.

Im happy to prove my Canuckistan bona fides.

I don't hide it . I post it again and again.

Test me.

Go ahead.

Yank.

The poseur doth

protest too much, methinks.

Grateful Deadline Posted - 8/28/2012 12:16:54 PM | show profile | flag this post

And you followed him right over the edge of the cliff ...
