President's Gallup approval rating
Posted - 1/19/2013 3:28:20 PM | show profile | flag this post
back below 50 percent. His 52-week high was 58 percent...right before Christmas...when he apparently was perceived by a majority as maintaining the moral high road on taxes and spending cuts. But now his approval has slipped to 48 percent...in the same neighborhood as most of last year.

The RCP average for the president is 52.1% Gallup is the only who has him below 50. (Rasmussen has him at 54)
The RCP average for Congress is 14.5% Approval btw.
Nice try though.

YOURS is the "nice try," pal...
attempting to muddy the waters with the congressional approval rating to take the focus off of Obama.

You picked out one poll out of seven
And didn't even quote the "average"; which is above 50%
Done with you on this one too. You're just trolling.

"to take the focus off of Obama"
And his reelection, and defeat of Romney, and the nation's mistrust of congressional republicans and conservatives in general. Including our tone deafness and kow towing to the NRA where gun control is concerned. (More guns=better!).
I am trying to focus on Obama as though it was August 2012 and Romney was headed for a landslide.
I live in my own little world pal.

you're getting your ass kicked.

On the 19th
You posted "President's Gallup approval rating back below 50 percent."
On the night of the 19th, Gallup revised it to 51%. Just goes to show polls going up or down by a point or two really don't mean much. I'm sure you'll revise your post. Right.

It's a TRACKING poll
Naturally, it'll vary by a few points day by day. But the important thing is the TREND...and Gallup recently released the average approval for Obama's first term. It was 49.1 percent, bettering ONLY Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford in the post-WWII era.

Cruiser's ONLY reference to polls...
are those he cherry picks to back up his argument.
Cruzo, care to remind us how Gallup had Obama trailing through much of the final days of the campaign?
Care to remind us how Gallup was the one of the LEAST accurate polls come election day?

When left wingers are hit in the face
with a FACT they wish were not true, they try with all their might to deny, dilute and misdirect the topic. Failing that, they will try to denigrate or trivialize the source or the one who posted the information.
True to form, etwinkie is trying to dilute the FACT of Obama's first-term approval rating (49.1%). His tactic is similar to the one FDR used in an attempt to pack the Supreme Court with six more liberals, which would have diluted the Court's findings and prevented decisions he didn't like.
But that will not invalidate the results of the Gallup tracking poll, which is the longest-running and proven to be the most accurate. While Gallup's snapshot polls MAY be open to question (and I don't concede that), the tracking poll cannot be disputed.

Yet, he won re-election...
That must really suck, cruzo.
The fact remains -- you are cherry-picking polls -- and cherry-picking one of the MOST INACCURATE polls of the last campaign.
It would be funny if you weren't so pathetic.

My Impotence is Egregious
And there is a paucity of it.
Look, I know, we lost. Badly. But I am an old withered man with nothing to do but post here all day long. I'm delusional. In my lucid moments I look at my previous posts and weep like a pathetic has been... but I never was.
You libs pick on me with "facts" and "evidence" and "reality". But all you're doing is beating up a weak old man with out of date, racist ideas. A man history has left in the dust. A man life passed by.
And that is egregious.

If Obama is so unpopular...
Why couldn't the repubs find anyone who could beat him? The fact is, you guys screwed up the economy, started both wars and can't understand that women don't want to give up their reproductive rights and that not everyone wants nut cases to have access to military grade weapons of mass murder. You just keep on thinking that way and see how many elections you win ever again.

And back on topic: Polls...
Tell you what cruise...when Obama hits 22% (Bush's low)...
Get back to us. Till then? Suck on it.

again, on the contrary;
I don't give a rats ass what you call me. What annoys me is when you call people disphit, moron, dearie, pal, idiot, etc etc, and then cloak yourself in your "SEE! Ad Hominem" lecture.
So, back on topic, to repeat myself, when Obama hits 22% (Bush's low)...Get back to us. Till then? Suck on it. Just another troll thread.

Major polls confirm
president's approval rating slipping.
PollingReport.com lists eight major polls tracking the president's approval. They are (in no particular order):
NBC/Wall Street Journal
CBS/New York Times
In all but two Obama's approval for January was lower than in December. ABC/Washington Post had Obama a signle percentage point higher. CNN/ORC added Time to their sponsorship mix which could have skewed the result. They reflected a three point higher result.
Two of the eight...Fox and Quinnipiak...have Obama's approval at less than 50 percent. For most of the rest the trend is downward.
This would tend to validate the Gallup tracking poll results I posted a couple weeks ago.
Posted - 2/9/2013 4:44:29 PM | show profile | flag this post
The RCP average has the presidents Approval average at 51.1 to 43.6; for a spread of +7.5 That's not too bad. I had to go back to the end of September to fin a negative/red number.
"This would tend to validate the Gallup tracking poll results I posted a couple weeks ago." Really?? Gallup has him 52 to 43 Approval. And you didn't even mention Gallup.
Not too shabby. How's that Romney landslide working out for ya anyway??

As always, dogson doesn't like what I posted
so he has to drag out factoids that are only tangentially related to the story...if at all.
Seems he always has to be "right"...even if he has to try to change the narrative.
