What do you wish you'd learned sooner?
I wish that I'd learned to follow my dreams sooner, not give up on myself so quickly.

Describe your dream assignment
I have had my dream assignment - editing a book. I would love to have more book editing jobs. I love being able to read a writer's work, see where they're going with it and help to clean up what they don't see - clarify it so they can take it to the next level.

What book is on your nightstand right now?
I have several books I am reading right now: All About Vee (Purtill), The Wild Trees (Preston), The Sunny Side: Short Stories and Poems for Proper Grownups (Milne), and Arena by Norman Bogner.

What's the hardest work project you've ever tackled?
Book editing and writing for myself.

What's the best job you've ever had?
Book editing and writing for myself.

What's your idea of a perfect Saturday night?
Watching a good movie whilst reading a good book and drinking a glass of wine or two.

What's your idea of a perfect Monday morning?
After breakfast, pouring another cup of coffee and tottering over to the computer to begin writing or copy editing or proofreading my next project.

In ten years, I want to be:
A published author, a working writer, editor of several anthologies, supporter of other writers and people in the arts.

Professional/Personal Overview
Copy Editor, Proofreader, Freelance Writer since 2000. Currently looking for more writing work or more book editing projects, copy editing and proofreading.

I have written research reports covering several disciplines, as well as book, magazine, and film reviews, resumes, cover letters, and executive summaries.

I am seeking to expand my writing and copy editing into other areas, learn new skills, and improve old ones.

My motto is "Slow and Steady Wins the Race" not because I take forever to get your projects back to you, but because I believe in quality work within a workable time table. A Dean of Education once advised me not to call on the first person to raise their hand in class, but instead to call on the last person. Theirs is the answer that will be the most thoughtful. I want to take pride in my work and I want you to be happy with the product provided.
