Hello, I'm looking at taking a job in Orlando as a reporter, but I am wondering what the range in salary is for the market? I've heard Orlando stations "pay in sunshine", so the salaries are lower than other places. Thanks! |

Reporter Salary in Orlando I was offered $37,000 for a reporter job in that market about 4-5 years ago. I ended up taking a job in a smaller market because it was better quality of life, plus about $30,000 more in salary. |

But also... Don't be afraid to have some balls and negotiate/ask/demand a better salary than the cheap/low-balling ND offers at first. |

Yes, the ND probably only has 50-100 other people who are dying for the job and will take whatever is offered.....you'll be in a perfect position to demand more :) |

And... $40,000 if you're working in that little cable outfit there in Orlando. But you should be able to get more than 40k at at least two of the other spots in that town. |
