Research undercuts IPCC "warming" concerns

Research that the Intragovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has tried to suppress indicates that solar activity may have a much more significant role in increased global temperatures than previously acknowledged.
A leaked IPCC report says, “[Results] do suggest the possibility of a much larger impact of solar variations on the stratosphere than previously thought, and some studies have suggested that this may lead to significant regional impacts on climate."
This information has been postulated for years by many of those...including some who were formerly connected with the IPCC...who have been labeled "deniers" by the IPCC and its minions.
This is the latest in a series of questions and doubts raised about the IPCC's methodology, its data, its models, the placement of sensors and the righteousness of its agenda.
While Kool-Aid drinkers will note that some IPCC-connected researchers still stick to their original agenda, it seems to me this has much more to do with their research funding than with the veracity of their "findings."
Oh, and the Kool-Aid drinkers on here will trumpet that this information comes from a blogger whose background is in economics in their efforts to discredit the report.
But I would point out that the DATA COMES FROM IPCC RESEARCHERS. It was merely leaked by the blogger.

yes, it is.. treat it as such...

The IPCC has been on the ropes in recent months
and its reputation appears to be in further jeopardy. On the heels of Climategate...which revealed misconduct and attempted indimidation by IPCC-connected scientists...criticism of temperature sensor placement, model design, proxy efficacy and a whole host of other problems, now comes word that its own research calls into question the agency's position on solar activity as a major force in climate change.
But these partisan Kool-Aid drinkers don't want to hear it...and don't want others to hear it...so they holler "Troll alert" and try to suppress it.

That explains my "Benghazi Flu".

There's NOTHING that explains
your willful blindness.

the kind of classy comeback we've come to know and despise.
Hey, I'll discuss this worthy topic (and latest Fox post) with anyone but you. Ain't playing. Go troll somewhere else.

Can't take the heat?
I'm right and you know it. That's why you refuse to engage.
Das macht mir nichts.

Is our very own Ed Anger channeling the Fuhrer or is it Heidi Klum? Hmm.
[Columns under the pen name Ed Anger were collected into a book, "Let's Pave the Stupid Rainforests & Give School Teachers Stun Guns: And Other Ways to Save America." From our beloved Wikipedia: "The Economist described Anger's opinions as 'so vitriolically right-wing that [they] possibly came from the left': 'Anger hated foreigners, yoga, whales, speed limits and pineapple on pizza; he liked flogging, electrocutions and beer.'"]

Interesting he used German...
Trolls are Norwegian. You'd think he'd use his native tongue.

maybe he DID use his native language..
there was another right wing guy many years ago that spoke german..
of course, that was all he could speak..

Is this the right time then
to play the "Hitler Card"?? I never know...
Posted - 2/4/2013 1:01:07 PM | show profile | flag this post
You morons will use any card...
or anything else you can dream up...to obfuscate the topic.
NOBODY on the far left wing...and that's where most of you reside...wants to acknowledge the flaws in the IPCC research and the doubts surrounding the causes of...or the mere fact of...global climate change.
Posted - 2/4/2013 1:57:03 PM | show profile | flag this post
that I can still laugh at the guy without actually responding to him. Shows I'm making progress...
Didya catch that last tap-dance?? So he acknowledges "global climate change" is a fact--but it's a "mere fact". See, that's a tiny fact. Still true by definition of course, but you get to whisper 'fact' real quietly. And how does one have "doubts surrounding" a "fact"?? Takes a very very complicated mind. "Ergo Cogito Sum--maybe"

You are pathetically slow
for someone who claims to be a college graduate and a journalist. The phrase "doubts about the cause of...or the mere fact of..." means (e.g.) there is uncertainty about what causes a particular condition...or whether the condition actually exists.
But of course you knew that...you're being demonstrably moronic to gain the approval of your far left wing...and equally moronic...buds.
And it's OK...you can respond directly. You don't have to try to pretend you're not doing precisely that.
Posted - 2/4/2013 8:38:49 PM | show profile | flag this post
I don't have to
respond to anyone directly if I don't want to...but it's still fun to watch you make a jerk out of yourself.
You can't talk yourself out of ridiculous ideas. 'Doubts about the causes of a fact, but it's a small fact, that affects the whole planet'. But see, they're FACTS that we have DOUBTS about. They don't well, affect averyone, just EARTH.
When you start out from there, hilarity will ensue.
But it's still nice to know that 'pathetically slow demonstrably moronic and equally moronic...' isn't really ad hominem, it's jsut a new Hallmark Greeting way of saying fyou.
Posted - 2/4/2013 9:41:08 PM | show profile | flag this post
That's why my words are NOT ad hominem but fact
When you distort my words and meanings, take them out of context and deliberately lie about what I've said or my meaning, it makes my criticism absolutely accurate. And criticism that is accurate is...by definition...NOT ad hominem.
But you like to stir sh*t. I know that...everyone else on here knows that. So your disingenuous whining is falling on deaf ears.

Insulting troll. And we all know it.
Suck on that.

That's dogson-speak for
I don't have the facts on my side so I'm just going to bail and hide.

Yep. Great progress. Way to pat yourself on the back for "not responding" by acknowledging the comment AND addressing it specifically. BUT WAIT! You used "he" instead of "you," so that's not responding. Yes, you're winning this battle of wits for sure.
Jeez, I check back after a year, and you morons are still bickering with this guy? Pathetic.

i didn't want to start a new topic.
is there anything the left won't blame on global warming?
CNN anchor Deb Feyerick asked Saturday afternoon if an approaching asteroid, which will pass by Earth on February 15, “is an example of, perhaps, global warming?”
Moments earlier, before an ad break, she segued from the Northeast blizzard to a segment with Bill Nye “the science guy,” by pointing to global warming: “Every time we see a storm like this lately, the first question to pop into a lot of people’s minds is whether or not global warming is to blame? I’ll talk to Bill Nye, ‘the science guy,’ about devastating storms and climate change.”
She never got to that question in the subsequent interview at about 3:25 PM EST during CNN Newsroom, instead transitioning from a snowfall update: “Talk about something else that’s falling from the sky and that is an asteroid. What’s coming our way? Is this an effect of, perhaps, of global warming or is this just some meteoric occasion?”
Nye resisted confirming her hypothesis.
