And maybe the election as a whole.

Romney was supposed to take his bus tour to the Sunshine State today.

Instead, he's focusing on Iowa.

There's been lots of talk about how the Ryan nomination will push seniors away from the Republican ticket because of his budget plans that gut Medicare.

The link above includes a shot of Sunday's front page of the Miami Herald with the banner headline: "Ryan Could Hurt Romney in Florida."

We heard from one of our posters last week that Romney ads had dwindled in Florida.

Florida has the most votes of any swing state. Giving those up to Obama -- when Romney is already trailing -- is a huge problem for Romney.

Corrected link

(For some reason my clipboard function is sticking this morning) And to clarify -- Ryan is not going to Florida with Romney.

it could also cost him arizona..

which would be a huge symbolic defeat for the tea party folk..

not all that many electoral votes..but a HELL of a lot of retired people live in that state..and they all vote..

And now...

Romney canceled his stop in Orlando.

Romney may have just lost the election. Romney is so far behind in the electoral college race, he can't afford to lose Florida. Check out this take from "First Read:"

"If Obama were to win Florida, Romney would need to win CO, IA, NV, NH, NC VA, and WI. In other words, he'd have to run the table."
