It must be hard for Paul Ryan these days. Everyone raves about story of small town boy-done good through hard work, his intellectual and ideological leadership of The House; his chiseled pecs borns out of P90x workouts. Then a white knight in shining armour sweeps him off his wisconsin feet .. a presidential partnership that every pol dreams about. BUT NOW the campaign orders Ryan to tone done the smart stuff .. don't talk policy plans or priorities. Dont upstage Mitt. Just stand by your man. Look pretty and talk about milking cows. Work that "boyish enthusiasm" Congrats to cons for sticking by their family values. Mitt wears the pants and makes the rules. Somewhere, Cheney and Palin .. even Al Gore .. are shooting game and drinking scotch... probably laughing . |

Stupid, ignorant, Con. AP file. Read it and weep and keep on whinin' and cryin'. Y'all should relate to it. Ryan is like an ol' country song: Stand By Your Man" GLEN ALLEN, Va. (AP) — Mitt Romney wants running mate Paul Ryan to play it safe. Ryan, the nation's most controversial budget architect, is often described as the intellectual leader of the House Republican caucus. But Romney's presidential campaign headquarters in Boston seems, for now, to prefer that the 42-year-old father of three talks about camping and milking cows instead of the fiscal proposals that made him a conservative hero. Ryan has been directed to avoid taking questions from reporters who travel with him, and to agree only to a few carefully selected interviews. He is known for sketching budget graphs on napkins to explain his ideas, but this past week it was Romney who used a white board during a news conference to help detail his own plan — one he says is virtually identical to Ryan's. "I'm joining the Romney ticket," Ryan told an Ohio television station this week. "It's not the other way around. So I'm supporting the Mitt Romney plan." Romney hopes that Ryan's conservative credentials and his boyish enthusiasm will help him solidify support from the base of his party and close the "likability gap" with President Barack Obama, who remains relatively popular in spite of the nation's struggling economy. Yet Romney does not want Ryan's plans to overshadow his own candidacy.... |

actually, ryan serves a purpose for romney.. just not the one ryan had in mind.. the pick allows romney to shore up some support on the extreme right wing of his own party.. and in the off-chance they somehow win this thing, ryan can be shuffled off to the tywilight zone most vice presidents end up in.. never to be heard from again.. remember vice president john nance garner?.. "..not worth a pitcher of warm spit.." |

You realize, of course, that your citation ran as an opinion piece in the Washington Post. It was not a nationwide news report. And the other half of it dealt with the Romney family's polygamous past. All of which makes your point even more ambiguous. Were you trying to fool the news people on the board, or was it just another excuse you created for flogging them? |

wtf You started out ok on that last post whathef%k, but then you threw in an unsubstantiated claim "...over half the country is either unsure or thinks obama is muslim ...". Ya got proof from a legit source? Of course not. President Obama and his family are Christian and attend a Christian Church. btw, why does it matter what a person's religion is? You republitards seem to think only a "Christian" should be president, yet you are supporting a non-christian. Mormons are not Christians. Their whole idea of heaven and how you get there does not sync up with real Christian belief. We have a Christian President and you want to replace him a non-christian. Interesting. Oh, and for wifey Ryan, the Pope disagrees with Ryan's attack on the poor. The triple threat against America ... Romney/Ryan/Republicans. |

*** it is a trump card to the liberal polygamy/scary mormon card. so what is the use in holding it? *** Unless this is another of your obtuse and unsubstantiated slams, would it be at all possible for you to rewrite this statement so that it's understandable to more than just yourself? |

Americans cant name Obama religion? great. cons slap each others' asses for a campaign of lies and deception and character assassination .. and celebrate stupidity and ignorance. You should be proud. And you wonder why the world laughs at American Conservatives these days? i mean, y'all gotta know something is wrong when the Canadian Conservative government decides to sell its oil to China instead of dealing with your nonsense. |
