GOP registration suddenly jumped by 35,000 this year in riverside county, california..

now, there are long lines of democrats finding out they were RE-registered as republicans without their knowledge..

among them are hundreds of african-americans and latinos..who say they'd NEVER vote republican..

one of those RE-registered as a republican is in fact the DEMOCRAT challenging the incumbent republican for a congressional seat..

did the GOP really think no one would notice?..

stupidity running rampant..and being investigated by registrar of voters and the district attorney..

On the surface...

this makes no sense. California has an open primary law -- meaning you can vote in any party's primary regardless of your own party registration.

However, it may have something to do with the Republican cry of voter fraud. They may somehow be arguing that there were more votes for a Democratic nominee than there are registered Democrats in the county -- or some such nonsense.

stupid!!!! did the gopsters think democrats wouldn't recognize their own dirty tricks?

speaking of stupid.....

obama's new campaign slogan-

“Vote like your lady parts depend on it”

"speaking of stupid....."

It was an "e-card" posted on a Tumblr site, and it pulled/deleted within hours. It never ever was "obama's new campaign slogan".

Jeesh.

Con(artist)...

Can't accept it. His party is failing so miserably in the polls right now, they HAVE to resort to dirty tricks.

It's their only chance!

They're just not as good at it as when they still had Dick Nixon to guide them:

"The Nixon Committee to Re-elect the President (CRP), a private non-governmental campaign entity, used funds from its coffers to pay for, and later cover up, "dirty tricks" performed against opponents by Richard Nixon's employee, Donald Segretti. Segretti famously coined the term 'ratfucking' for recruiting conservative members to infiltrate opposition groups (and/or misrepresent them through false flag activities) in order to undermine the effectiveness of such opposition.[1]

As a result of post-Watergate reform legislation, such activities are strictly regulated, though other private entities still may practice what has become commonly referred to as questionable or unethical dirty tricks.

Recent nomenclature equates a Dirty Tricks Squad to any organized, covert attempt to besmirch the credibility or reputation of a candidate, individual or organization so as to render them ineffective."

"it may have something to do with..."

What it may have to do with is Democrats trying to game the election and voting for a no-chance Republican in the open primary, thus causing themselves to be re-registered as Republicans.

This is my speculation, of course, but it sounds plausible. This is the kind of unethical stuff California Democrats routinely do.

Voter Fraud MUST Stop!

Before we find evidence that it actually exists!!

Unless it's being done by Republicans, then it's fine.

It's poor minorities we're most concerned with.

Hey, here's an idea

Why don't we find out what actually happened???

Instead of hanging one side or the other in the public square.

... Just a thought.

In Florida, too.

Ha! You made me laugh out loud, because that's the stupidest thing I've heard in a long, long time!

More made up stuff...

from cruzo.

Maybe he's confused about the fake Democrats the GOP ran in Wisconsin to provide cover for their recall candidates:

Voting in another primary will NOT change your party affiliation.

Another episode of Left Wing Follies...and my responses

GD: "that's the stupidest thing I've heard in a long, long time"

You say that about EVERYTHING. You're like the...uhh, person...who cried wolf. Nobody even hears it anymore.

etwinkie: "Voting in another primary will NOT change your party affiliation"

It's not supposed to but reading the cockamamie stories you left wingers come up with, stranger things could happen.

livinliberal Posted - 10/6/2012 9:49:43 AM | show profile | flag this post

Repubs and voter fraud...

Repubs scare people with reports of a couple of cases of voter fraud at the polls that don't even exist. So they enact laws to keep thousands from voting. Now there is some real voter fraud.

cruiser Posted - 10/6/2012 11:50:31 AM | show profile | flag this post

PERFECT recitation

of a dishonest left wing talking point. But this is what left wingers do...they know most of their constituency is of average (or less) intelligence and not well educated. It is highly susceptible to sound bites...and the left wing has been exploiting that for decades.

mpdodgson Posted - 10/6/2012 12:16:02 PM | show profile | flag this post

It is not

a "recitation of a dishonest left wing talking point."

I

mpdodgson Posted - 10/6/2012 12:22:22 PM | show profile | flag this post

Apologize again.

(Methinks the wife spilled something on the keyboard again)

Anyway, it is not a "recitation of a dishonest left wing talking point."

I think it's become clear the past month that first; Republicans are just as guilty as 'voter registration fraud' as Dems--even if it was not their fault by hiring a crooked outside company. When this happened to Dems thanks to some idiots at ACORN, it was a national scandal. When it happens to the GOP, well, 'shit happens'. Yea. No double standard there.

Second; when it comes to actual 'Voter Fraud'...Remember, I live in PA, wheer even the Republican Governors office had to admit they found ZERO cases of it. If that was the REPUBLICAN Govs office--how does that translate into a 'left wing talking point'??

cruiser Posted - 10/6/2012 2:02:17 PM | show profile | flag this post

" to keep thousands from voting"

THAT'S the dishonest left wing talking point. It is NOT the reason for the GOP push for voter IDs, despite what the idiot in PA said.

mpdodgson Posted - 10/6/2012 3:44:58 PM | show profile | flag this post

One more time--HOW

is the Republican sponsor of a needless Photo ID law proudly crowing: "Voter ID, which is gonna allow Governor Romney to win the state of Pennsylvania, done.”--HOW is that a "dishonest left wing talking point"???

How is the same person, a Republican leader, proudly whine "As Mitt Romney said, 47% of the people that are living off the public dole, living off their neighbors’ hard work, and we have a lot of people out there that are too lazy to get up and get out there and get the ID they need." HOW is that a "dishonest left wing talking point"???

And again, when the office of the Republican Governor of my state clearly states "acknowledges there “have been no investigations or prosecutions of in-person voter fraud in Pennsylvania; and the parties do not have direct personal knowledge of any such investigations or prosecutions in other states.”

HOW is that a "dishonest left wing talking point"???

You're just on the wrong side of the facts here and you're defending dis-enfranchising voters. Period.

(and PS "despite what the idiot in PA said" If you were referring to me, I never said that. [livinliberal said it]. Please don't insult me for something I didn't say (OMG!! More librul ad-hominem!!)

cruiser Posted - 10/6/2012 6:02:32 PM | show profile | flag this post

If you were

really as stupid as you act, I'd be worried about you. But you know perfectly well that your comments were disingenuous.

You have this infuriating habit of talking in non-sequiturs and logical fallacies. It's hard to have a rational, civil discussion under such conditions.

mpdodgson Posted - 10/6/2012 6:29:54 PM | show profile | flag this post

Oh. So you have nothing to add

Except that when I quote Republicans, those "comments were disingenuous."

Got it. This whole issue of rampant voter fraud is bull crap...except that the GOP found itself an un-willing victim of it this lately....then it's just a 'few bad apples'.

If this isn't setting up the wingnuts claiming "Foul!! Fraud!!" the day after Election Day, I don't what is. You can hear it now...those Chicago thugs....

blackedtaped Posted - 10/6/2012 7:03:52 PM | show profile | flag this post

If I may ask a question...

Exactly why does this matter? Last I checked, how I am registered in no way affects my ability to vote or how I vote. Since we are now in the general election cycle I just wonder what difference this really makes. Not sure how this is "fraud", it does not affect ability to vote or how votes are counted.

cruiser Posted - 10/6/2012 7:23:37 PM | show profile | flag this post

"when I quote Republicans,

those 'comments were disingenuous.'"

Actually, that comment was specious...meaning having a superficial appearance of plausibility but was actually wrong.
