Now do yourself a huge favor and please move on.

Thank you Thank you blackedtape.

"What kind of conspiracy theories are out there? One contends that something is amiss because the adults in Newtown — particularly Robbie Parker, who lost his 6-year-old daughter Emilie in the shooting — haven't grieved hard enough. According to this theory, many of the shattered adults you've seen on camera are actors. Another claims that Emilie is still alive, appearing in a photograph with President Obama (the person in the photo is Emilie's sister). Yet another claims that there were other gunmen besides Adam Lanza. For a comprehensive list, as well as a thorough debunking (not that you'd need one), check out this article from Salon.

The thread that connects the various theories is gun control. "The underlying theme in all the theories is that the media, the government, and the Obama administration specifically either manipulated or orchestrated the shooting to move political opinion on gun control," says Laura Edwins at The Christian Science Monitor. Analysts say the theories may be a way to deflect blame from guns to imaginary culprits.

Of course, conspiracy theories abound on the internet. But the Sandy Hook variety are gaining traction, approaching Obama-was-born-in-Kenya ubiquity. One YouTube video, "The Sandy Hook Shooting—Fully Exposed," has been viewed more than 10 million times."

Disgusting. Please people.

There weren't any "imaginary" culprits

The culprit was Adam Lanza...A PERSON, a nut case (like so many other mass shootings). When is the left wing going to start dealing with the PEOPLE problem and stop trying to blame inanimate objects?

livinliberal Posted - 1/22/2013 2:17:43 PM | show profile | flag this post

He wasn't a "nut case"

He had mental issues, but nothing that would have foretold his violent actions. He was diagnosed as having Asberger's Syndrome which is a mild form of autism. Had he not had access to military styled weapons that can kill dozens of people in a few seconds, the casualty list would have been much smaller. When are you "nut cases" who refuse to give other Americans the right to live without fear of mass murders going to realize that you are the ones with a problem? No one wants to take away the right to own guns. Just not ones that fire 100 bullets in less than a minute.

cruster Posted - 1/22/2013 3:33:31 PM | show profile | flag this post

"A PERSON, a nut case'

A nut case armed with guns, yes. But I don't care.

I want to stop gun control to piss of lefties, that's all.

If the jackbooted government thugs came to get me in the dead of night, I'd do what I always do when threatened.

Cry. Curl up in a ball and weep like a child. I might even soil myself.

Why?

Because I am all talk pal.

"100 bullets in less than a minute"

As long as you and your radical left gun-grabbing buds keep repeating that bullsh*t you'll never be taken seriously. Your message...which just might have a trace of validity...will be drowned out by your lies.

I know it's difficult for the radical left to understand but exaggeration and untruthfulness won't do it for you.

Of course it is a lie!

Here's the video that proves an AR-15 ... A non-military designed weapon meant for sport shooting small game, can't shoot 100 rounds per minute, fully-auto, belt-fee, all legal!

mpdodgson Posted - 1/22/2013 9:01:38 PM | show profile | flag this post

The topic, I believe...

was the insane conspiracy theories surrounding the Sandy Hook shooting. Most. but not all, of them actually trying to foister the idea it either never happened, or it was a government plot.

Of course we all know that's garbage. But, in my opinion, to say, or even imply, that the massacre had nothing to with a 'mental case' having easy access to guns that shouldn't even be legal--well, that's equally insane.

Lanza WAS indeed the culprit. No one is questioning that. What I do question is whether he could have killed 28 people with a stapler.

And don't even bother cruise with actual facts, stats, or even videotape. He doesn't believe in the stuff.

orthicon Posted - 1/22/2013 9:31:29 PM | show profile | flag this post

actually, some years ago, i had the opportunity..

to see just how many rounds i could fire from an ar-15 in a minute..

and i couldn't get to 100..

best i could do in three tries was 87 rounds..66 in the first 100-round mag..just warming up..and 70 in the second..

i guess the deer and elk are safe from me, huh?..

etaoin shrdlu Posted - 1/23/2013 9:58:02 AM | show profile | flag this post

Remember...

that on the same day Lanza used a gun to kill 27 people, a man in China tried the same thing...with a knife.

All his victims survived.

Guns don't kill people? They just make it a whole lot easier to kill a whole lot of them at once.

"best i could do in three tries was

87 rounds..66 in the first 100-round mag..just warming up..and 70 in the second"

Did you overheat and ruin the barrel with that idiotic display?

cruiser Posted - 1/23/2013 10:25:50 AM | show profile | flag this post

"All his victims survived"

And that's indicative of...what, exactly? It's apples and oranges, you idiot.

Grateful Deadline Posted - 1/23/2013 11:09:29 AM | show profile | flag this post

Interesting that we have a poster who can't differentiate between surviving and dying.

orthicon Posted - 1/23/2013 12:51:51 PM | show profile | flag this post

hell, he can't differentiate between night and day..

not much light gets into his mom's basement..

cruster Posted - 1/23/2013 1:23:09 PM | show profile | flag this post

It's apples and oranges, you idiot

That's why I helped change the subject after blackedtaped posted a perfectly reasonable link to help dismiss this ridiculous conspiracy theory.

Have I muddied the water? YES!

Now we can make this all about me.... yesssss... me.... I love attention.... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

etaoin shrdlu Posted - 1/23/2013 1:56:48 PM | show profile | flag this post

No, cruzo.

It's access to guns -- and restricted access to guns.

Maybe you could enlighten us with the "wounding" requirements of knives.

The fact is, only two people shot at Sandy Hook survived.

All 23 people wounded in the Chinese attack survived.

mpdodgson Posted - 1/23/2013 3:29:23 PM | show profile | flag this post

Truth even weirder than fiction;

I'm still giving blackedtape credit for pointing out how absolutley ridiculous the Sandy hook Conspiracies are....but, the craziness continues in oh so many ways...

LaPierre of course went crazy about the president's Ignaugaral speech--"In Reno on Tuesday, Mr. LaPierre attacked the speech as evidence of Mr. Obama’s dastardly plan to confiscate everyone’s firearms. He also seized the opportunity to criticize the president’s gun control proposals, which he considers a new front in the war on Christmas."

"Mr. LaPierre rambled on: “Obama wants to put every private, personal firearms transaction right under the thumb of the federal government and he wants to keep all of those names in a massive federal registry. There’s only two reasons for a federal list on gun owners — to either tax them or take them.”

Of course there's a small problem here--Obama never even used the words 'gun' or 'shooting' in his speech--but LaPierre saw "evidence".

Craziness II: S Carolina wants kids to take gun courses. “the more guns we have the safer we are.” oh Goodie.

Craziness III: "the NRA has recently thrown its weight behind an industry campaign to deregulate and promote the use of silencers." They are creating a special campaign designed around the little folk: silencers, to protect their hearing — because the noise is what’s really dangerous about guns. donchaknow.

Craziness IV: A Florida TeaBagger Rep thinks the laws should be changed so citizens have access to the same weapons the military has. "”On guns, [my constituents] were saying that the sentiment, when you read the Second Amendment, is that the militia had the same equipment as the military to protect them against the tyrannical government. I think it’s more important today than ever, that we uphold our second amendment,” What could possibly go wrong if Zimmerman had a cannon??

Craziness V: Stevie Wonder told Piers Morgan the other night he's planning on getting a gun. “Imagine me with a gun. It’s just crazy.” (There is currently no federal law prohibiting seeing-impaired people from buying or owning guns.) Yea, that makes perfect sense.

Point being--At this point I don't know anymore what's MORE insane--the Conspiracy theories about an actual shooting--or the laws being proposed to promote more shootings.

orthicon Posted - 1/23/2013 3:51:35 PM | show profile | flag this post

barrel of the ar-15 was just fine..

according to the weapons expert and SWAT team armorer we were shooting with that day..

weapon is still in service today..

etaoin shrdlu Posted - 1/23/2013 4:22:22 PM | show profile | flag this post

BTW...

let me chime in on blackedtape's original post on this thread.

Thank you.

cruiser Posted - 1/24/2013 11:59:54 AM | show profile | flag this post

"laws being proposed to promote more shootings"

This is one more radical left exaggeration...no, that's not the right word...it's facts being deliberately distorted and stretched beyond the breaking point.

But this is how the radical left operates. They cannot advance their agenda with facts so they try to do it with lies.

cruiser Posted - 1/24/2013 12:48:26 PM | show profile | flag this post

"No, cruzo, It's access to guns -- and restricted access"

As long as the only people you're restricting are those prohibited under 18 USC 922 and those currently not covered but with emotional and mental problems, then we don't have an issue.

But if you're trying to make restrictions any broader than that you've gone WAY beyond reasonability. This ESPECIALLY applies if you're trying to broaden the classes of light arms that you're restricting.

The problem...as you flatly refuse to acknowledge...is PEOPLE, not firearms. Your advocacy of banning certain light arms is absolutely wrong-headed.

etaoin shrdlu Posted - 1/24/2013 1:08:11 PM | show profile | flag this post

Are you really so clueless...

as to believe that knives are MORE deadly than or AS deadly as long guns?

You've shown your ignorance about the AR-15 repeatedly in the past month. But if your are going to argue this point, you've jumped the shark completely, cruzo.

cruiser Posted - 1/24/2013 1:41:07 PM | show profile | flag this post

No, pal, you show YOUR ignorance

by your consistent refusal to "get it right." You continually take me out of context, lie, exaggerate, distort, etc. That's not what an intelligent person does. And your credibility reflects your paucity of intelligence.

etaoin shrdlu Posted - 1/24/2013 2:47:47 PM | show profile | flag this post

You, cruzo...

just described to a tee what you've been doing with my comments on this thread.
