The publicity-hungry ratings failure beats the rush, gets in some early ass-kissing of her new boss:

Gee, guess it never occurred to her that if you somehow host a national morning show twice and it tanks in the ratings both times, maybe YOU'RE the problem.

she's doing a good job at Sandy Hook tonight

She's a whole hell

of alot better when she doesn't "perform" her copy. I used to do some coaching, and I would tell anchors that there are some stories you "sell" and some you just "tell." Clearly, this situation in Connecticut falls into column "B", but overall, I think she's better when she just "tells" it. The more she "sells" the more contrived she appears.

She is one of the few...

TV talking heads who actually asks tough questions and isn't afraid to follow up and do her best to make her guests answer those questions. Refreshing to see someone who doesn't get paid a ton of money to ask a list of pre-approved questions *cough cough* George Stephanopulous David Gregory *cough cough*

So wait, they're NOT keeping the same host on the morning show who's already failed there twice?
I'm shocked!!!!!
