2oldcruztwit

STILL doesn't understand the difference between deficit and debt. It was a "budget surplus" instead of a "budget deficit".

They were not talking about a "debt surplus" or no debt at all. Servicing the debt is part of the budget. When they had the "budget surplus", they had more money coming in than they had "budgeted to spend".

btw, Newty Patooty sure was going around tooting his own horn for his role in the "budget surplus".

I have to ask, why does blackedtaped continue to refuse to acknowledge the $2-3 billion W spent OFF THE BOOKS? Is it too complicated for him?

Good Lord cruise

Either pay attention or shut up. Adults were having a discussion.

"We've had this discussion repeatedly". Yes, we've had. The DEBT and the DEFICIT are two different things, and while you may not like it, Clinton did have a surplus....and Newt was even a more miserable candidate than Romney was...So much for your political expertise.

And did anyone check out that "source" of his?? An anonymous blogger. So here ya go cruise; from the same site:

"According to the treasury we had a surplus under Clinton, why do cons trust right wing blogs over the treasury?"

"Even under accrual accounting, the annual reports showed surpluses of $69.2 billion in fiscal 1998, $76.9 billion in fiscal 1999, and $46 billion for fiscal year 2000."

Right wing blog? RIGHT WING BLOG???

Those figures came ultimate from the Treasury Department. I've dug them out myself and posted them in the past.

God, I just don't understand your continued insistence on something that is plainly wrong. And this is, at least, the second issue on which you've been wrong this week.

Maybe if you addressed other posters with respect and expressed your ideas clearly minus the toxicity, your credibility might show.

Incessant ranters don't inspire trust.

Dearie, look in the mirror

and repeat your last comment.

Oh, goodie -- another "dearie," the word that fat ladies call other people. A thread isn't over until cruiser sings!

Rack 'em up, pal!
