The doubters saying it is cooling ... Which is true! Except for the recorded temps from those loon libs at NOAA.

From nyt:

July was the hottest month in the lower 48 states since the government began keeping temperature records in 1895.
The average temperature last month was 77.6 degrees — 3.3 degrees above the average 20th-century temperature, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reported on Wednesday. July thereby dethroned the record of 77.4 degrees set in July 1936, the agency said.
Warmer-than-average temperatures gripped much of the country last month, with the biggest departures from the 20th-century average reported across most of the Plains, in the Midwest and along the Eastern Seaboard, the agency’s report said. Virginia had its warmest July on record, with the average temperature four degrees above the norm, it added.
A hot July also contributed to the warmest 12-month period ever recorded in the United States.

A prominent NASA scientist, James E. Hansen, reported in a journal article published on Monday that recent extremes of hot weather have been so pronounced that scientists can say with near-certainty that events like the Russian heat wave of 2010 or the Texas heat wave of 2011 would not have happened unless global warming, which is linked to the release of greenhouse gases by humans, was under way.

Three things:

1) Yes, the Midwest has been warmer than normal this year. But much of the rest of the world has been BELOW normal for a couple years. China, England and much of Europe have been downright chilly.

2) A warm trend in the Midwest is not...repeat, NOT...an indicator of GLOBAL warming. It is REGIONAL warming only.

3) Global temperatues don't rise and fall in nice even linear trend lines. They vary widely in amplitude and frequency. We could see a warming trend in certain areas for a few years but then it will be cool in those same areas for a period of time. Other areas will experience vastly different trends.

Actually, here's more: Man has not witnessed and recorded enough data to understand the full scope, magnitude and periodicity of global warming and cooling cycles. And man does not have accurate proxies to estimate the past global temperature record for more than a FEW hundred years. Ancient tree ring proxies...which ARE fairly accurate...were recently found to have been incorrectly estimated, knocking any conclusions based on them into a cocked hat.

This is a topic about which the left wing self-styled"meteorologists" here don't have a clue.

Hot Temps No Proof of Heat

Merely looking at the data fails to take into account the 1976 Time magazine article on global cooling, which I have cited many times and which is irrefutable proof we are headed into an ice age.

Looking at weather patterns, long term models, carbon content in the atmosphere, glacial core samples, soil samples, historical records and numerous other indicators is just liberal non-sense.

Part of the reason it's been hotter this year is BECAUSE it's getting COLDER.

The highest temperatures

ever recorded, the largest disaster area declared in history, and the worst drought ever, not to mention Colorado in flames...

and cruise calls it "A warm trend in the Midwest".

We've always known that not only would this guy never be allowed anywhere near a newsroom, (and still hangs around a current events site for newzies), now we've confirmed there shuold be a restraining order against him for even approaching the Weather department.

And all of that proves

you have no friggin' idea what you're talking about. Next year could be the COLDEST year on record in the Midwest. Hell, it's been cooler than normal this year from the Bay area northward to Washington state. Even as far south as San Diego was cooler than normal during the spring.

YOU CANNOT EXTRAPOLATE ONE SINGLE YEAR IN ONE SINGLE AREA OF THE GLOBE AS "GLOBAL" WARMING.

If you knew ANYTHING AT ALL about the weather, you'd know that.

Record Cold is happening

Great Britain is experiencing one of the COLDEST and WETTEST summers on record. But since this data doesn't fit the group think of "global warming", they won't consider it.

It's nice how left wingers only report what they want to report, and ignore other weather that is happening in the world.

You're a riot, secondcoming!

You climate change deniers shout about every snowfall as proof that average global temperatures are NOT rising.

What we've been talking about here is a symptom of global climate change that's been predicted for years -- EXTREME WEATHER -- whether hot or cold.

In this case, drought, record high temperatures month after month through the summer, more intense storms -- these are things that are the result of climate change.

We're seeing it.

NOT A SINGLE CLIMATE SCIENTIST denies that the world is warming. The numbers show it's been happening.

But 2%-3% argue that human activity is not behind it. That number is dwindling rapidly.

Cons, so confused

OMG .. Record high temp in US doesn't mean global warming ... Bu .. But ... But cold temps in UK PROVES is not!!!!!!!

A+ science and logic there, cons.

Here's the peer reviewer, scientific consensus: IPCC.CH

Plus, now your own koch funded independent research by Muller.

Recorded Global (yes global) temps have increased, at a rate consistent with the output of human produced greenhouse gasses. That has led to Climate Change.

The costs of which, whether by insurance claims (or destruction of non inusured live), or crop failures (and famine), or rising seas (and destruction) , will have to be paid.

Now this opinion: I doubt the ronmey class will be the ones paying or hurting
