The whole thing is a Bloody Shame, and the worst Matt Damon movie ever...
You've got another star politician (and national hero this time) going thru a mid-life crisis, several women, thousands of emails, Eric Cantor, the FBI Director, shirtless photographs [again], conspiracy theories--Holy Crap.
...and of course more Defense and Offense than a Steelers game. I lovedJoe Scarborough's take:
"This is what bothers me," he continued. "They go on this fishing expedition, it ends up that they continue the fishing expedition under the auspices -- by the way, the FBI despises the CIA. The interagency rivalry here is the most heated in government."
"And so you have the FBI taking Petraeus down, a rising star in the intelligence community. The whole thing stinks."

I have to ask--Can you POSSIBLY imagine if this was Eric Holder and NOT Petreaus?? They'd be storming 'Justice' like it was the Bastille.

The timing of this whole matter
stinks. And it took the focus off of something of vital importance to the country and the integrity of a recently re-elected president.
I wouldn't be even a little bit surprised if there were a whole lot more to this.
Remember...David Axelrod is a past master at deflecting attention away from Obama with sexual innuendo. That's how he got Obama elected to the Illnois senate. He made (apparently untrue) sexual allegations against two separate Obama opponents and caused both of them to drop out of the race.
He was also the architect of the sexual allegations against Herman Cain. All of the Cain incident women who were subsequently identified...there were three...live or lived in the Chicago area and...IIRC...at least two of them were acquainted with Axelrod.

This whole thing was outed...
By an FBI agent who was hot on the woman the biographer sent the threatening emails to. He is the one that notified Eric Cantor. The agent is a right winger with his own agenda who spilled the beans because of his own jealousy. He is the one who sent shirtless photos of himself to the "other" woman. So if you right wingers are looking for a conspiracy, you have no further to look than at one of your own.

To say that Obama derailed the Cain (or Santorum or Gingrich or Bachmann) campaign is just plain insane.

In the entire Petreaus Affair
I have never heard anyone mention Herman Cain or David Axelrod--because they have had absolutely nothing to do with any of this.
But of course they do.
This is reason #2243 why people like cruize and con are so totally irrelevant and why we're so thrilled they soldier on as the wingnuts they are. A total embarassment to the entire conservative cause. (Again, an you possibly imagine if this involved Holder or God forbid, someone like Valerie Jarrett...)

The harder you far left wingers
try to deflect attention away from the Benghazi attack, the administrations response (or attempted deflection) and everything else that surrounded it, the more embarrassment it's going to cause when the facts finally come out...and they will.
Remember the old bromide from Watergate that has proven itself true in several more recent incidents...and may be especially apropos now: "It's not the crime, it's the covereup."

Yes, we need to make a really huge deal of this and ask questions about "timing", what Obama "knew", or didn't "know" and asking why he "didn't" know it when "we" think he should "have".
I mean look, we conservatives have nothing left but complaining and positing theories about conspiracies. I mean we got our @sses kicked in the presidential election and made no headway in congress. We're talking about retooling the party and letting go of our all encompassing whiteness in the face of a demographic shift we never saw coming, despite the fact the Democrats did.
So please, let us have our conspiracies. Please?

(as others have pointed out--if people weren't indicted, impeached, jailed, or disgraced over Iraq--Benghazi is a burp. It is kind of funny to watch a four-star cluster fuck; wingnuts and cons desperately trying to pin SOMETHING ANYTHING on Obama when he had nothing to do with it...
...and if anyone says they have true handle on all of this you're a better man than I Gunga Din....between the scorned women and thousands of emails' this is one helluva stained flow chart....
Can I add one more time that 'conspiracy theories' emanating from Chicago somehow just make the whole thing even more ludicrous??
The whole thing is another damn shame among high livel politicians who whould have should have, known better. Don't think there's a chance we can leave it at that is there??

The one person who knew about Petraeus' affair before the scandal broke open in November was...drum roll, please...
none other than Eric Cantor, House Majority Whip and Tea Party darling.
Yet, somehow, Cantor managed to keep the lid on the investigation until after Petraeus resigned.
What are you Righties going to do now? Can't blame this one on the Administration, can you? The one person who knew in advance is one of yours.
