Responsibilities: The e-Scholastic Business Intelligence and Analytics team is seeking a Junior B.I. Developer:
The Junior B.I. Developer will report to the Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics. The ideal candidate will support the Sr. BI developer in managing, updating and creating automated reporting, managing and maintaining the BI platform (SQL) and creating insightful data visualizations that will be leveraged across the Enterprise. Additionally, this role will have the responsibility of translating business requirement documentation into tagging specs and implementing tracking tags across the Enterprise.
Job Description - Support Sr. BI Developer in developing SSIS, SSAS SSRS projects - Support Sr. BI Developer in writing ad-hoc T-SQL queries - Experience in using Management studio to write queries, execute SSIS Packages, SSAS Cubes - Create/Automate Excel dashboard that connects to SSAS cube to pull data. - Work with the team/BU to translate business requirements into tagging spec. - Maintain all tags by scheduled QA sessions. - Work with IT/Developers to implement tags on the site - Create detail documentations of business requirements and tagging spec. - Work with Tag Management solution to implement Omniture, Foresee, media tracking tags based on business requirements
Qualifications: B.I. Platform - Experience in writing T-SQL queries, stored procedures - Experience in developing packages using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) - Good understanding of SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) - Good understanding of Data warehouse concepts - Experience in developing SSAS cubes is a Plus - Experience in Developing SSRS Reports is a Plus
Omniture Tagging - Experience in managing end-to-end process including requirement gathering, tagging implementation, and QA - Experience in translating business requirement into tagging spec - Must be very organized when creating and managing all documentation - Solid understanding of how tagging translates to reporting in both Omniture Site Catalyst and Discover
