Are you an athlete who loves social media? American Media Inc is looking for an innovative, creative social media manager to refine the social media strategy for Mens Fitness. The manager of social media will be responsible for increasing Mens Fitnesss presence on Facebook and Twitter and designing a strategy and vision for Tumblr and Instagram. Mens Fitness is one of the biggest sites among AMI brands, appealing to active men 18 to 35. The position reports to Executive Director, Audience Development for all the AMI titles. 1. Develop, implement and track campaigns for Facebook and Twitter for Men Fitness 2. Explore new ways to engage Mens Fitness audience, including how to use live video chats to engage our audience on Facebook and Twitter 3. Produce the activity and metrics reports to track these programs for our CMO or Corporate reporting
4. Collaborate with online editors to optimize campaigns and develop a deep understanding of the Mens Fitness readers
5. Partner with ad sales to create memorable experiences/platforms for sponsors
6. Develop and execute viral marketing contests that bring the brand to new audiences
Skill Set:
We are looking for an athlete who loves all forms of social media and who cares deeply about the reader experience. Ideally, the candidate will have 3+ years working within a digital editorial program or a journalism background. The candidate is someone who is persuasive, influential and has excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills.
Education and/or experience: The ideal candidate will have a BA in marketing, communication or a related field and/or 5 or more years of experience in online media. Deep understanding of web analytics and HTML are helpful.
