We are currently seeking a Page Six Reporter/Producer to work on NYPost.com. The right candidate will have a keen eye for gossip in the New York and wider showbiz arena, and must be able to work fast, collaboratively and accurately in a competitive environment. While the position is mostly office-based, there may be some opportunity to cover evening events.
Responsibilities include:
*Reporting/Producing content for Page Six on NYPost.com collaborating with the print team
*Posting breaking news
*Collaborating with the Photo Desk
*Generating ideas for features and multimedia opportunities
*Coming up with ideas for stories to pursue and covering some events.
Skills required:
*Strong news judgment and reporting
*Ability to write sharp copy and crisp headlines; copy editing a plus
*Ability to work under deadline pressure
*Knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, experience with a web publishing system
*Understanding of social media
*At least two years working in an online news environment preferred
