CBS Sports Mobile is seeking a product management director, who is passionate about sports and mobile, to drive product vision, strategy, and execution for its industry leading interactive sports apps and mobile Web site.
Role & responsibilities
·        Define and execute the long-term roadmap for the portfolio of CBS Sports mobile products, including Fantasy Sports and bracket games apps, scoring and news apps, and mobile Web.
·        Achieve audience growth and revenue goals associated with mobile product portfolio.
·        Direct a team of product managers charged with planning and leading new product design and development, seasonal product enhancements, and opportunistic product deployments.
·        Manage project schedules and direct project resources across own and key cross-functional teams.   Direct mobile product planning and concepting, launches, maintenance, and product sunsetting.
·        Be exemplary in product management fundamentals, providing and coaching product managers to provide clear vision and scope documentation, use cases, workflows, wire-frames, design requirements, product requirements, and other materials as needed to support UX design and development.
·        Partner with Business Development to select, establish business relationships with, and collaborate with third party vendors on development projects supporting CBS Sports mobile product portfolio.
·        Establish business processes across own team and key cross-functional teams supporting mobile product management efforts in areas such as:
o    QA testing
o    In-market product support, including off-hours monitoring and escalation procedures
o    Go-to-market procedures
o    Customer service
o    Advertising operations
o    User experience design cycles
o    Rapid prototyping and agile dev cycles
o    Audience measurement
o    Budgeting
·        Ensure that CBS Sports mobile products are consistent with the CBS Sports brand and experience guidelines for CBSSports.com.
·        Set go-to-market plans with Marketing and support the marketing process, including the creation of on-air, desktop Web, and mobile Web promotions.
·        Oversee distribution of CBS Sports mobile products through platform app stores and CBSSports.com.
·        Track and analyze mobile audience, user feedback loops, and industry benchmarks, publishing reports on product performance, trends, and risks/opportunities and feeding insights back into short and long-term planning.
·        Lead, operating independently and decisively while managing multiple competing priorities, projects, and tasks in a fast, round-the-clock, results-oriented environment.
Keep on top of and act as the internal expert on the latest trends in mobile devices, technology and sports.

Experience requirements:
·        Must be self-motivated, entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, challenged by accountability, and an innovator.
·        Excellent client management and communication/interpersonal skills
·        Must be a mobile expert–knowledgeable and on the cutting edge of mobile applications, WAP, SMS/MMS technologies, mobile media, emerging mobile technologies, and mobile marketing.
·        7-10+ years of experience in online or mobile product management, project management, or product marketing with some understanding of consumer research, product strategy, pricing, and online promotion
·        Experience writing Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and creating forecast models
·        Experience working with and account managing wireless carriers, developers, and/or other mobile service partners
·        Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
·        Business writing skills required
·        Passion for sports and interactive technology required
·        Must be proficient in MS Office, including MS Project, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint
·        Familiar with XML, HTML, and Photoshop
·        Knowledge of iOS, Android, Windows 7, WebOS, and Blackberry Platforms
