What you’ll be doing at bebe

The senior online content manager role is responsible for increasing the value of the bebe web site, social media, and all online content via creative and directional written communication. This position will work with the marketing team to lead online marketing and social media copy for bebe.com. The manager will be key in influencing customer behavior across new and existing media channels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee online product copy and site name formulas that complement the merchandise and enhance the user experience.
• Research; monitor competitor presence, research new and relevant outlets, identify trends, and monitor ‘chatter.’
• Recommend, develop and implement creative content for the web site that appeals to bebe.com customer and compliments the commerce path.
• Build and manage all social media content and campaigns; manage and maintain social media outlets.
• Coordinate with the cross functional partners such as marketing, creative, legal and merchandising in the copy development of all marketing and promotional messages that complement the current marketing strategy and ensure that the messages reflect the bebe brand and tone.
• Manage and develop relationships with brand appropriate bloggers, online customers and fans in real time on various social networks.
• Secure online partnerships to support lifestyle and editorial content.
• Work across departments to ensure proper messaging is being executed online and is relevant to organizational goals.
• Maintain weekly social media reports.
• Manage ecommerce marketing and marketing social media calendars.
• Establish consistency of message across multiple networks.
• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Additional responsibilities, duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements
• Bachelors degree; Communications, English or Journalism major preffered.
• 5-7 years of professional writing experience; 3-4 years experience with web writing, social media and management.
• Superlative verbal skills with an emphasis in creativity.
• Familiarity with fashion and web jargon.
• Retail experience, preferably in the apparel industry. Online retail experience a plus.
• HTML and CSS knowledge a plus.
• Tremendous attention to detail, a copy editors eye is a must.
• Knack for research, a sharp with and willingness to work during non standard business hours.
• Prior experience in customer service, advertising, marketing or public relations preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Abilty to cope with pressure, multiple deadlines and working under pressure.
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with fellow co-workers.
