Job Requirements Responsibilities

The Director will manage the day-to-day operations and strategy of Cablevision’s customer-facing websites: Optimum.net for existing customers and Optimum.com for sales to and acquisition of commercial and residential customers. He/she will be responsible for implementing enhancements which promote state of the art customer service and user experience as well as partner with cross-functional management teams to develop viable solutions to operational challenges and launch new features.

Working with the VP of Broadband Product Operations s/he will:
• Define business rules
• Set website usability/performance goals
• Monitor the performance and customer experience
• Work with other internal stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to the market.
• Partner with key sales, marketing, technology, business, and creative stakeholders to define and execute on the keys goals of:
o Increasing customer satisfaction
o Achieving retention goals
o Supporting the strategy for all TVtoGO initiatives that rely on web-based authentication for customer consumption of authenticated/TV Everywhere content.
o Generating incremental revenue and improved sales and acquisition goals while maximizing cash flow and net contribution.

Additional responsibilities include:
• Closely overseeing the day-to-day operations of the websites including prioritizing outstanding issues which need to be addressed, reviewing website feedback, and identifying opportunities to improve overall customer engagement and experience.
• Communicating website product strategy and roadmap to operational management and integrating features and tactics to improve the online experience and reduce operational costs.
• Managing all third-party business relationships with vendors that support the sites such as Google, Nominum, Omniture, ForeSee, Gomez, and others.
• Understanding emerging trends affecting MSO and MVPD web presence for customers. Evaluating market research, customer trends, and website technological advancements to recommend and champion product development initiatives, new content management tools, and other systems that improve the delivery of content and efficiency of website operations.

Qualifications

• Twelve or more years of product management and/or marketing experience, successfully managing high-profile, cross-functional customer facing websites which focus on consumer products/services, communications and/or entertainment services.
• Prior experience defining website/online strategy, developing and deploying successful, high-scale communications and/or entertainment services. Ability to grasp operational and functional details of network and server operations and other technical details around the infrastructure.
• Product launch, process development, and operations experience.
• Analytical and results-oriented: able to identify, analyze and execute key elements of strategic vision. Demonstrated ability to be responsible for reaching interrelated financial, marketing, and operations objectives. Able to evaluate options from a customer’s perspective.
• Cross-functional leadership and interpersonal skills: demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of the organization
• Develops relationships within the organization to maximize efficiencies in both process and plan execution.
• Excellent oral and written communications and presentation skills.
• Prior experience managing a team responsible for day-to-day website operations.
• Track record in identifying fresh approaches utilizing existing data as well as developing appropriate project plans and processes to yield results.
• Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and demands, remain calm and objective under pressure.
• Demonstrates confidence and decision-making ability; ability to commit to a definite course of action and support decision with facts.
• Qualitative and quantitative skills with high budget management competency.
