Job Requirements Pandora is looking for a Director or Sr. Manager to join the Sales Analytics group in Oakland, CA. The role will act as a key business advisor to Pandora's Performance Sales team, helping shape the technology roadmap, operations process, and yield optimization strategy to maximize revenue for Pandora while creating best-in-class solutions for our advertising partners.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross functional groups including Ad Ops, Engineering, Ad Tech, and Sales to develop the right technology solutions for Pandora's direct response advertising initiatives

  • Evaluate profitability and conduct cost/benefit analysis of advertising deals and business partnerships

  • Own weekly tracking and reporting of product revenue mix, yield trends

  • Deliver analysis and recommendations on inventory allocation, pricing, and systems improvements to management team

  • Work to implement sales policies and process that increase productivity while keeping focus on driving revenue and delivering results for advertisers

  • Analyze sales behavior to identify trends and optimize pricing

  • Develop quantitative analysis, ad hoc reports, models, to support decision making

  • Forecast inventory availability, sell-through, employing statistical analysis and modeling when needed

  • Maintain reporting, forecasting models, dashboards, etc related to performance sales channel


Requirements
  • BA/BS in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field

  • At least 5 years professional experience in an analytics role with experience in direct response/performance advertising (CPA, CPC, CPI, etc) a plus

  • Experience with online advertising platforms (Doubleclick (DFP), Atlas, etc)

  • Experience with digital advertising and online publishers with multiple sales channels a plus

  • Data-driven thinker, excellent quantitative skills

  • Strong project management skills preferred

  • Power user of excel (VBA), Access, Microsoft Office suite

  • Experience working with relational databases and SQL query languages

  • Excellent time management and attention to detail

  • Comfortable in fast-paced and changing environment

  • Excellent written and communication skills
