Job Requirements Job Description: The VP Marketing and Audience Development is the primary leader of and strategy owner for the positioning of our brands and delivering audience growth across every platform (print, TV, radio and digital). This role requires a creative thinker who has strong skills in working cross-functionally to deliver results. As our customers move into a digital world, this individual needs to help determine how to best develop our strategy and brands.

Primary Responsibilities
Lead and develop a strong engaged team of creative and innovative marketers.
Develop short term and long term strategic development plans to meet audience engagement goals.
Execute tactical media and marketing plans across all local segments to deliver specified objectives.
Work with other CMG properties to evolve our digital subscription strategy and hit volume and revenue targets.


Operational responsibilities
Oversight of the overall department budgets including the media budgets and plans.
Responsible for development of research strategy and direction that allows us to make smart product and brand decisions.
Oversight of TV programing, FCC compliance and relationships with partners such as cable companies and TV network.
Develop and implement digital marketing strategy

Leadership and cross-functional team player
Work closely with content, sales, digital and CMG corporate to optimize input and communication
Influence the development of a high-performance culture
Comfortable working in a multi-platform environment

Minimum Requirements
Professional
10+ years of relevant marketing or agency management experience, with at least 5 years of experience in digital
Experience managing, leading and influencing both internal teams and external partnerships
Experience in managing multiple brands is desired.
Bachelors degree minimum requirement
Technical
Proven campaign or product management experience in the digital space
Familiarity with using research and metrics to drive innovation and results
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Business/Personal
Creative and strategic thinker
Inclusive leader who builds a strong two-way relationship with his/her staff
Deep and current knowledge of media industry dynamics
Experience in change management
Able to develop leadership in a team
