A leading beauty brand is seeking a Assistant Social Media Manager to join the U.S. Integrated Marketing Communications team. The role requires the ability to strategize and assist in executing the best in class social media programs to meet the brand’s objectives. This includes working cross-functionally and executing programs across various social media platforms. Candidate must be a well-rounded digital and social media marketer and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage internal and external resources to successfully bring projects to life.

Reports to the Social Media lead. Work closely within the Interactive Marketing team, Brand Marketing members and third party vendors.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing and executing social media strategies by identifying and establishing best practices, tactics and programs.

• Manage the brands’ social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Foursquare, Google Plus Pages by influencing and managing the respective social teams. Improve channel integration between all platforms where appropriate. Knowledge of all current social media platforms like Instagram and Pinterest is a must.

• Manage social media day-to-day activities which include creating and managing editorial content for all social platforms, connecting with in-house creative team for all design needs, community-outreach efforts, managing and educating the social media teams in delivering best in class content and strategic initiatives.

• Embrace social media insights by establishing competitive metrics to monitor brands progress and ROI. Create effective benchmarks/goals to measure the impact of social media programs, and report on effectiveness of campaigns. Provide regular feedback from insights gained from social media monitoring to the internal brand marketing, communication and education teams.

• Liaise with vendors to drive the creation and adoption of new social media opportunities in social media for the company.

• Monitor current social trends and competitive landscape to translate into new marketing ideas for the brand.

Additional Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of business experience.
• Intricate knowledge of all social media platforms, including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, Tumblr, Instagram, Google Plus, YouTube, Flickr, Foursquare and Vimeo and more
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong writing and editorial skills.
• Proven ability in successfully maintaining multiple social media voices
• Ability to originate story ideas and successfully carry them out.
• A deep interest in social media, beauty, pop culture and fashion
• Must have ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline oriented, high-energy environment. Ability to self-motivate, work well alone and as part of a team
• Creative problem-solver, able to achieve results for minimal cost.
• Experience in online advertising and digital communications preferred.
