• Oversee all marketing activities for appointed departments, including managing advertising in Sotheby’s catalogues, consumer and trade publications, and promotional projects such as brochures, client letters, internal and external promotional materials, in-house sale enhancements, digital media projects and sale view signage
• Responsible for comprehensive integrated marketing plans including offline exposure, online programs, e-communications, video, social media, and events.
• Coordinate strategic planning for marketing initiatives including budgeting for current and upcoming projects for sale promotions and business-getting activities
• Work very closely with advertising agency (exchange information and expertise) to pinpoint best vehicles for advertising to maximize resources
• Collaborate with Design department to complete projects efficiently and on time
• Develop relationship and work closely with London and Hong Kong marketing counterparts to promote Sotheby’s interests globally
• Maintain a thorough ongoing knowledge of the department(s) business goals, clientele, and competitive environment
• Track respective departments marketing budget
• Brainstorm and contribute to proposals, exhibition design and competitive tracking
• Manage special projects as needed

• 3-4 years of experience in a marketing position
• Proven ability to manage projects in marketing arena
• Strong understanding of art and luxury brand environment and clientele
• Excellent analytical skills to manage budgets, business intelligence reports and return on investment, need for experience in media planning & measurements
• Strong writing and meticulous attention to detail
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Strategic thinking skills and ability to offer creative solutions
• Positive working rapport with colleagues
• A team player who also works well independently
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under multiple deadlines
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel

• Bachelor’s Degree
