The features copy editor for the Hearst Design Group will be responsible for copyediting and fact-checking all stories for its three magazines. The copy editor will be expected to line edit text for clarity and accuracy; proofread; write display text (captions and heds/deks) as needed; and work with the art department to fit text to layouts.
-Excellent copyediting and fact-checking skills
-Should be able to write lively display text as well as line edit manuscripts as needed
-Strong communication skills important
-InCopy, InDesign, WoodWing, Word, Excel
-Should have experience with and knowledge of print production workflows
