||MKG is looking for a NYC-based Associate Community Manager, someone with unprecedented social media knowledge, incredible writing skills, a creative thinker, excited about emerging digital trends, and passionate about generating results. This role will report to the Director of Digital Strategy.
If hired, you will manage dynamic, online communities and coordinate social activity for some of our biggest clients. The role requires a highly motivated, self-starter with a proven track record of word savviness and executional excellence. You will be tasked with thinking creatively and leveraging your social media skills to drive campaign results both on and offline. Ideally, you will have experience in client-facing roles as well as managing and executing online promotions.
•Serve a leading role as community manager for AOR social media client along with agency’s own social media, driving consumer engagement and building relationships.
•Write clear, persuasive, original copy to be pushed out on all social media platforms.
•Actively participate in discussions across multiple social platforms and relevant sites.
•Monitor Twitter, Facebook and Instagram daily for social intelligence, conversations and learnings.
•Respond quickly to comments, questions and tweets, providing superior customer service across multiple platforms.
•Identify new ways to inspire the pulse of existing community and drive acquisition.
•Identify and engage with community advocates who are equally passionate about our clients and their products.
•Manage, execute and optimize social media reporting, analytics and content calendars.
•Work with multiple partners, influencers, vendors, app makers and sponsors.
•Work closely with Social Media Strategist and Account Manager on retained clients, along with cross-team members on various agency projects.
•Collaborate with client’s PR and Media Buying partners.
•Consistently bring fresh, practical ideas that drive results for social media and experiential marketing clients.
•Stay up-to-date on new social media trends, platforms and analytics, always looking to improve upon our existing methods and workflow.
•Be pro-active in educating others throughout the agency and clients on social media value proposition and best practices.
•Outstanding creative writing, grammar and communication skills. (Experience with blogging or copywriting a plus).
•Must show high level of excellence and understanding of social media landscape (just being on FB, Twitter and reading Mashable won’t get you an interview – wow us with your savvy online presence and unprecedented knowledge of social media).
•Self-driven, naturally curious, superior organizations skills, and great follow-through.
•Bachelor's Degree (ideally in Journalism, Marketing or Communications).
•Impress us with your social media wizardry on current trends & campaigns.
•Ability to deliver quality work in a fast paced and high volume environment.
•Strong quantitative analysis skills to interpret data and mine for insights.
•Proven multi-tasker that can manage several projects at once under tight deadlines and accommodate rapid changes.
•Strong familiarity with numbers, spreadsheets, basic design and third-party social media vendors (Wildfire, OfferPop, Sprout Social, Simply Measured).
•Most of all, you’re a fun, charismatic people-person, willing to go the extra mile and be a part of a team that’s building something awesome.
