Job Requirements OVERVIEW

Tiger Oak Media seeks a Group Publisher for its six regional bridal magazines and their related events and digital media. A member of the company's executive group, the Group Publisher is responsible for creating and implementing the strategy and bottom-line results. The position oversees and manages account executives in Minneapolis and remote markets in addition to editors, art directors and production staff working with the titles. The role is multi-dimensional and requires a unique combination of strategic thinking, marketing, team building and sales management:

1.) Proactively work with account executives to assist them in setting sales goals, creating integrated media packages and serving as a consistent resource and guide;
2.) Understand each market's unique aspects, differentiation points and competitive sets;
3.) Seek opportunities to build the brand and its intended audience by working with circulation, the internal events group and develop strategic partnerships to gain market penetration;
4.) Thoughtfully assess the value and viability of evolving digital media opportunities;
5.) Continue to build events and create a marketing plan to ensure attendance with demonstrable ROI and value to exhibitors and attendees;
6.) Seek out new markets and opportunities either through launching new titles or acquisition;
7.) The position requires travel (approximately 30%) to work with account executives and clients, including Scottsdale, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Seattle, Portland and Milwuakee.

DESIRED SKILLS

1.) Candidates must possess a minimum of seven years of experience in media or a media-related industry with proven results in successfully driving profitability;
2.) Senior sales management experience is required with a track record of overseeing and managing accounts and account executives, setting goals and creating incentive packages;
3.) An ability to evaluate and manage performance across multiple media platforms, including print, digital media and events;
4.) A proven ability to build teams and drive results;
5.) Candidates with an appreciation for and/or direct experience in the bridal market are highly desirable. A key element in driving success is understanding current trends and the qualities of this particular client base and industry;
6.) A self-starting, entrepreneurial individual who appreciates the opportunity and challenges associated with growing this group's profitability, audience and brand.

COMPENSATION

Compensation is a combination of base salary and incentive based on bottom-line results. Benefits include 401K, health, dental and a flexible work environment.
