The Director, Digital Strategy is responsible for strategy, vision and development of digital and social media solutions at Imagination. In collaboration with the Chief Content Officer, the Director will work with clients, strategists and cross-channel content teams to develop strategic marketing plans and identify team members to lead implementation and execution of strategies. The Director, Digital Strategy translate client needs, audience pain points and creative vision into compelling, executable integrated programs that meet client business objectives and maximize ROI. A strong emphasis on digital solutions and deep knowledge of social media business strategy, platforms and tools is required.

In this role, the Director will lead the social strategy (and social analyst teams), and will work closely with the Account Director and content lead to ensure strategies are integrated into clientís multi-channel campaigns. This role will lead development of a measurement and engagement strategy that can articulate value creation and ties to business goals through the digital and social channels. The Director must stay abreast of new technologies in the pursuit of creative excellence while working to inspire, lead and excite the social strategy team, so a unique blend of strategic thinking and creative abilities is desired.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic presenter capable of leading meetings with clients, external partners and internal teams, and motivating, inspiring and creating excitement about Imagination digital and social media strategies. The right person will be a trained strategist or marketer with experience developing both B2B and B2C integrated strategies, with a strong emphasis on digital and social media (advertising agency preferred). He/she should be passionate about creating engaging strategies based on high-quality content programs.

Specific responsibilities include:
Lead strategy team in conducting listening studies, competitive assessment, audience development and business research as needed in order to design actionable insights to drive digital and social strategies.

Serve as agency champion for communicating and training teams on best practices, tools and tactics that will position Imagination as a leader in digital and social.

Lead strategy team and oversee development of campaign strategies that fall within strategic framework.

Educate, lead, influence, and collaborate with business partners, clients and internal teams.

Seek out innovative approaches to client problems within the digital and social sphere.

Develop engagement metrics that outline value and results tied to business objectives.

Provide leadership to content organization and company in order to integrate social knowledge across the content team and company; cultivate an atmosphere of collaboration.

Provide strategic leadership and counsel to Account Directors & Managing Directors, Content in the development, maintenance and growth of individual accounts.

Ensure that client brand integrity and positioning are maintained across all channels; oversee development and organizational adherence to quality standards, budgets and schedules.

Work with Chief Content Officer to create and lead various workshops and training opportunities in order to develop content team talent in strategic, digital and social capabilities.

Partner with the social strategy and content teams to ensure integration, collaboration and communication across strategy and creative/production teams within the content organization.

Consult with the VP of Talent as necessary regarding resource challenges and opportunities, and build social capabilities within Imagination.

Ensure that team infrastructures and environments are conducive to meeting and exceeding client expectations.

Develop and maintain a high-performance strategy team committed to on-time delivery, creative/strategic excellence and exceeding the client expectations.

Manage and motivate team of Social Strategy Managers and clearly communicate team and individual expectations, establish performance benchmarks and routinely track departmentís performance against benchmarks.

Establish and promote a culture of teamwork, commitment to excellence and ongoing professional development that will contribute to positive morale and employee retention.
