FIRST magazine seeks a senior editor to manage one or more beat areas. Responsibilities include staying on top of news and trends, generating well-researched ideas, assigning stories to freelancers, overseeing staff writers, working independently to edit copy to a high degree of quality, copyfitting galleys and closing stories.
Skills & Experience: Five years of experience in professional writing and editing, preferably at a national consumer magazine; strong research, communication and organizational skills; an ability to work well on a team and under tight deadlines; and a passion for delivering fresh information that helps women live healthier, happier lives.
Education: Bachelor’s degree |
