The NOC Manager will respond to problem reports from users and partners promptly to isolate root cause and assist other team members as necessary to resolve.
In this role, you’re going to have the opportunity to:
Be responsible for weekly reporting on application performance and error rates.
Document problems, recoveries, and root cause and ensure all system changes are documented and coordinated in advance.

Engage customers, peers, partners and executives; providing valuable feedback and information regarding issues and outages.
Requirements for Success:
Strong technical leadership background with various technologies (SAPI, Tomcat, Apache, Apache Active MQ, Knova Platform, AOL Server, Talisma NetAgent, Ilog, Ruby on Rails, Java, Perl, C++, CentOS, Stratus, Windows, RedHat, HP-UX, Sun Solaris, ofBiz )

Builds positive working relationships across departments and customer base.
Analyzes metrics to identify trends in system behavior that require intervention.
Handles questions about complex material easily and persuasively.
Promotes environment in which diversity of ideas and backgrounds is respected and valued.
Coaches and develops team to world-class standards in production systems management.

Flexibility of schedule, as this is a 24/7 Operations environment. 

Uses knowledge associated with a Bachelor's Degree and approximately 4-6 years directly related experience, including management experience. 

Uses advanced knowledge of own discipline and all the services it delivers. 

Exercises significant proficiency in specialized area of AOL and demonstrates a through understanding of the medium, industry, market, partners and audience for AOL's products and services. 

Plans, schedules and directs work of group or process. 

Coordinates activities of group of various individual contributors to meet project deadlines and budgets, and resolves conflicting demands of internal and external customers.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of technical and/or business developments in the field and applies these developments own work.
Handles questions about complex material easily and persuasively.

Resource integrator and coordinator - uses research and analysis to develop creative and innovative solutions.

Understands, interprets and leads own team's strategy and operating objectives.

Implements the business strategy for the unit or group. 

Monitors work unit budgets. 

Interacts internally/externally on an as needed basis to achieve department/work unitgoals. 

Consults with personnel in other departments and work groups to coordinate activities.

Prepares activity and status reports regarding work unit activities.

Takes steps on timely basis to eliminate quality issues.
