About the position:
Games.com is building a comprehensive, industry-leading platform and new front-end tablet/mobile/web/TV site. We are looking for a Product Manager to lead portions of the platform specifically microtransactions, advertising and game developer management of the platform. This person will be responsible for the design, definition and full product lifecycle of those parts of the platform.

About you:
You are passionate about the games/platform space and want to build out the games product that will power games distribution across AOL properties, Ad.com Partners and the web. You will leverage your understanding of advertisers, publishers, developers and users, as well as the games industry and technologies to develop the product that supports this powerful platform.
You are comfortable with a role that is both client-facing and internal-facing. You must have a vision for the future of games platforms so we can continue to innovate and stay on the cutting edge. In this role, you will do everything from brainstorming features to customer/competitor research to wireframing to developing specifications to working closely with developers. Given the varying types of people you will work with, whether technical or not, the ability to communicate effectively be it in person, in writing, or over the phone is essential.
It’s important that you have strong business judgment, understanding of current web trends and technologies, mastery of product management best practices, and a keen focus on consumers. You are someone with passion and obsession for building world-class web products and experiences, and know how to translate these qualities into winning Internet products and services.

Responsibilities:

•    Develop platform and products to drive revenue, traffic and engagement growth
•    Understand and analyze user needs
•    Research markets and competitors
•    Work with both design, product and platform teams
•    Work with engineers to define products
•    Build and launch new products and features
•    Define product vision and future direction

Requirements:

•    BA/BS in Computer Science engineering required
•    Technical background as coder and/or developer preferred
•    At least 2 years of product management experience with an online technology, advertising or mobile company
•    Strong passion for the games industry
•    Proven track record for product delivery, able to fit in well within an informal startup environment
•    Extensive SEO knowledge
•    Extensive experience with web analytics platforms and tools (Omniture, comScore, Google Analytics)
•    Experience managing project specs, roadmaps and developer & designer work pipelines
•    HTML / CSS / JS experience a plus
•    Solid understanding of customer needs, business goals and competitive pressures and the ability to convert those into product requirements and priorities
•    Experience conceptualizing and implementing products across all platforms and devices
•    Interest in working on problems that don't have an obvious solution
•    Entrepreneurial drive and a demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast paced environment
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills; superior organizational and analytical skills
•    Ability to synthesize customer research, client feedback and internal recommendations into actionable product development plans
•    Ability to balance technical and business issues as well as communicate appropriately with both technical and business experts
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tech, rapidly growing and exciting environment
•    Ability to handle challenges and provide quality solutions on time and within budget
•    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and employees, along with working with external clients, or customers
•    Ability to maintain own work flow and meet deadlines
•    Ability to maintain speed and accuracy while under pressure to meet deadlines
•    Ability to respond to frequent demands of multiple customers (internal and external)
•    Versed in creating an elegant and seamless user experience across on demand/streaming/transaction products
