Job Requirements Join the dynamic team at McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, a top business publication serving today’s senior housing sector. This position is in Northbrook, a northern suburb of Chicago. The full-service brand--which provides print and digital editorial content, lead gen programs, custom publishing, and events--is seeking a Publishing Coordinator/Editorial Assistant position in its Northbrook, IL office. The position reports to the VP/Publisher, with dotted line reporting to the VP/Editorial Director.

The successful candidate is a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills; is confident, adaptable, and responsive; is highly organized and able to multitask effectively; and has superb follow through--completing tasks efficiently and on deadline. You will be the face of McKnight’s, working with many of our departments throughout the company to include production, circulation, web development, finance, sales and editorial.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Managing monthly billing ledgers and recording ad revenue with finance team

- Liaising with production team for ad trafficking

- Working with editorial to ensure proper scheduling and execution of editorial-related facets of digital, custom and live events

- Coordinating meetings and commercial events

- Coordinating with outside vendors as necessary

- Providing administrative support for both sales and editorial teams to include:

* Database management
* Order entry for all client contracts
* Maintain office supplies, back-up server daily, manage equipment needs

- Deep understanding of Excel is essential

- HTML knowledge is a plus

- Ability and interest in a variety of social media channels is an advantage

- Internship experience in publishing is ideal. Candidates with technical skills will be given priority.
